Don't remove the straps if you enjoy fielding lots of annoying questions about your shoes.

I sort of like the straps. Parker (?) has a pair of white Raf sneakers with grey straps like that, and they look good.

Speaking of which, those sneakers are on sale at yoox. I'm tempted but I really don't need any more sneakers.

I would pass on the sneakers, there's a lot better sneakers to be had even at sale price.

Thanks for the opinion guys, I agree with all of you for the most part. Will keep my eye on the pair for further drops, jump on 'em around $300

EDIT: I believe it was drmmr who said that these ran really TTS, and so even though I take a 9 in brands like CP and Alden, my sneaker size (ie 10) would work best for Raf derbies. Can anyone confirm/deconfirm this?

Raf derbies run TTS. 44 CP (for width), 44 W+H, 45 MMM GAT, alden 10E or 105.D trubalance/10.5D barrie, size 11 raf derby. Hopefully that gives you enough reference.

I say none but if you really want to go for it... then the second one is better. Depends on the price though.

No they're not ugly but definitely not the best shoe purchase for 800-900 clams

It's one of those cases where you're only considering them for that ludicrous price because of the name attached. Nothing is special about those (except of course the construction)- color, shape, styling all leave something to be desired. Pass
