boat shoes do Not look good with jeans...

as a blanket statement i disagree. definitely depends on the style of the boat shoes and cut of the jeans.

Agreed. They look pretty ridiculous with fresh raw jeans, but more worn in/broken in jeans they start looking considerably better. Jeans also nearly must be slim as well.

opening ceremony is supposed to release their version of the bass weejun. an excellent loafer. i'm pretty sure it's over the $100 mark though. if you do like the bass weejun try getting a pair on ebay. that's where i kopped mine and it was well under $100.

Would Weejuns look good with jeans?

I went Nordstrom today and surprisngly they had the cheapest prices for sperry's at $64. Definetly love them but do not go with my 19CM Indigo Diors. I think they will look great with shorts and my white jeans so I picked them. Definetly going to try and pick up a pair of those Beekmans in the near future.

Not looking for so much a consensus as an immediate reaction. Already have a pair of standard black purcells that I like the fit of, but as jgold mentioned, make the wearer look 13. Given that, would these serve as a little more "adult" sneaker, especially being worn with jeans and light buttondown shirts, or is there perhaps a better shoe just waiting for me?

And that's the kind of immediate reaction I was looking for!
