Thanks guys.

Fiddler, yep, the loafers are in espresso calf.

Sinnedk, you could email Chay Cooper at AS, or, if you're in NYC this week, you could order them at the trunk show going on.

Kolecho, the trees are nifty. These are my first pair of lasted trees. They're so snug, they fit like the shoes were made on the trees themselves.

Was looking for something a little "fun" and decided on a pair of navy suede tassels (so shoot me).

Was very impressed with these by Massimo Dutti. Not bad for the price (although in Russia they are a little more expensive). I was pleasantly surprised.

you could email Chay Cooper at AS,

I wonder if 'a fine pair of shoes' would have them....those loafers are the epitome of louche.

The As website says 'hacked by hacker'...who the hell hacks a shoe website?

Today, I received a package from Alfred Sargent.
Modified Holburn boot in shell cordovan, with an 3 inches or so of height and a bellows tongue for increased water resistance:

Both are wonderful, but I'm amazed by how soft and supple the boots are. They slip on and off much easier than I'd imagined. More here in the AS handgrade pic thread.
Love the boots!

Made by Jan Petter Myhre of Norway. Not a pair of mine, but I want to play a game: who can guess the grainy leather's origin?

Elephant Calf, born or unborn, I don't know and am afraid to guess.
