Mr. Moo, that black pair on the middle at the top is from Silvano Lattanzi. Penny loafers, too.

mr monty, on the floor are (from left to right) RLPL Jadon 'city hiking boots', Bally Scribe monks and NOS Edwin Clapp dress full wing derbies.

You may not believe, but a few years ago Marshalls was selling them. Some make it to the clearance racks and sold for less than $75.

I've handled 4 pairs, and they are legitimate $900+ shoes, IMO.

I tried a few pair of Bally Scribes a few months back, from Yoox, but none of them worked for me due to the effect of the heel cup/heel pad being too high. This resulted in feeling like my heel was always falling out, even though the shoes were clearly not too long. Sucks, because they were really nice shoes.

I have this same problem with Aldens. I always feel like a I am falling out of the shoes and tumbling forward--weird. I have always wanted a pair of Scribes bumming me out that they might not work.

What's your shoe size Burton? I have a pair of Scribes in 8.5 US that are just a smidge too big for me. They run on the large side.

    I am a 9.5 so I think I would probably wear a 9 in the scribe. I wear 8.5 in C&J's.

    I bought a pair of scribes in a size 8. They fit like a US 9- 9 1/2D.
