Wow, I didn't know you were a naked little black baby! :uhoh:

    So they fit now?

You know my feet do change size a lot when I fly. On a long flight I always take my shoes off and when putting them back on before landing I can barely cram my foot into them. After an hour or so they are fine. But that is mostly a 'volume' issue. The length and width at the toes doesn't really change.

They do. It feels like they have loosened up a bit, in any case, im keeping them. I just laced them up for the first time and they feel fine. One thing about G&G is that the leather is so soft and flexible that is molds to you feet. After walking on the carpet for a few mins, they fit without any small toes sticking out.

edit-i reserve stanky leg baby gif for extra special occasions.

Summer reappeared finally in Sydney yesterday. For the wife's birthday dinner out thought I'd try my new 1950s vintage Sears Roebuck ventilated spectators:

Well, I didnt ask for the darkening, but I do like it, a lot.

The place I ordered them from basically ordered them and told me that if I didnt love them, or they didnt fit right, I didnt have to pay for them, so it was no risk really.

What will I wear them with? Lighter brown or tan cords. Brown suits (I have at least as much brown as greys/blues in my wardrobe--I just like it). One TF suit in particular that is a brown prince of wales with a light rust windowpane. I personally wont pair them with blue or grey, but they might work with blue...

Not sure how well it comes through, but there is some nice bevelling at the edges of the waist that really further accentuate the narrowness of the sole there.

Ya lookin mighty sharp, my friend. Don't tease me with all this talk of "Summer reappearing in Sidney"! I'm still crying over having to box up the Specs for winter hibernation (the ones YOU got me addicted to buying, I might add). Spoil the wife tonight & have a Great Time (maybe find me a babysitter so I can take mine out sometime!)

I believe it's the "one size fits all" mentality. A high arched instep only works effectively if the shoes actually fit correctly, which many US men don't really worry about (the SF crowd excepted, of course).

Depends on which ones you're looking at. Recently I ran into a treasure trove of Arch Supported vintage shoes. Some makers had entire lines of Arch Support shoes, Wright is one.

more light and no flash would help the details of the shoes more clear in the photos. They look excellent, and would like a better look.
