Im in talks with David Mitchell of Mitchell Leather. Trying to get a kind of inverted one.

Natural Cordovan with Brown CXL Interior (or possibly the golden wheat cxl, but i kinda like the contrast from the outside to the inside).

In addition, I've requested just their standard small emblem rather than than the whole big emblem they use for horween stuff. It just seems a little overbearing in the large emblem.

Right now I have three cards in each of the four slots. It's handling them just fine; the CXL stretches appropriately.

I think you'll like it. The man is very easy to deal with and quite enthusiastic about working with good leather. The emblem doesn't bother me at all but I agree that a smaller one might be more tasteful.

That wallet looks really thick. What do you think about the thickness?

it is really thick, about double the thickness of my previous wallet, but suprisingly in pocket it is pretty comfortable and soft.. does not feel like you're sitting on a rock

Just got this custom piece in black marble shell from Phil at Ashland Leather. Love it. Best customer service experience I have ever had from first email to delivery. Thanks Phil!

The Wallet to carry the minimum.
I ended up purchasing this through fleabay which holds 3 Cards Credit/whatever a nice concettina section which will easily hold some folded cash and some loose change.

You're welcome -- I'm really glad you like the wallet as much as I do. You have a very special piece of black marbled shell there. Excited to see how that breaks in!

Is it shining up for you yet?

Looks like any other elcheapo wallet after getting beat up in the back of you pants. How much money did you waste on this wallet?

I like the brooks brothers wallet better, the one shown up a couple of posts, i assume you are posting these cause you are inspired by it, the 2 tone colors makes the wallet look for refined and classy. the chester mox one tone wallet looks like a craft project to the concerning eye. an almost-could-have-been wallet.

Why do you like the BB one better? Purely aesthetics or do you think the construction/QC is better at BB?
