Nope, they're both straight leg fits but they fit differently. I would compare measurements between the two jeans in your size to see a better picture of exactly the differences between the two jeans.
I personally like the fit of the new WWII jean better, I like the way the top block fits better.

No sorry, they've stopped producing that hoodie in the indigo-dyed version.
We did just get loopwheeled hoodies from Iron Heart in black, they're quite nice if you haven't seen them in person yet.

SD-101 is straight leg that's why I was curious.

Sorry, that was a typo... it should have read "Nope, they're both straight leg fits but they fit differently.".

Iron Heart Cowhide Type III, Deerskin Snap Shirt, & Winter Shirts

We saw a sample of an Iron Heart split steer cowhide Type III jacket earlier this year and could not wait until the production run was done so we could get these into our stores. These jackets are finally here and they look and feel just perfect. It's a modified Type III pattern with hand pockets done up in a super soft split cowhide. These are available in limited numbers at all of our stores.

We've been special ordering deerskin snap buttoned shirts for clients of ours for years through our various brands we carry but finally we're happy to have one in stock at our stores as a standard item. Iron Heart's version is made of Ezo deerskin in black with oversized Iron Heart copper snaps, an internal snap buttoned pocket, and is lined with black cotton twill.

Iron Heart has taken their popular ultra-heavy flannel and has done a run in solid burgundy and solid charcoal colors. These new ultra-heavy flannels are available in both a regular flannel version and a CPO overshirt version with hand pockets and oversized copper buttons.

All these items along with a full restock of jeans, vests, jackets, and more are available now at all of our stores.

No restocks on that until the spring when the new run is done.
But we just got the new version of that jean in slightly heavier denim: http://www.selfedge.com/the-flat-head?product_id=1688

John Lofgren Burgundy Chromexcel Engineer Boots & Champion Sneakers

Fresh from Japan we've just received a large shipment of boots and sneakers from John Lofgren.

First up we have Lofgen's popular engineer boot done in a dark burgundy chromexcel leather. This leather starts as a deep dark shade of burgundy and is sure to age well considering the chromexcel treatment it's gone through.

We've also received a new run of Champion sneakers, available now in three colors. There were only 100 of each color produced and the fabrics used are as special as the sneakers themselves. Many of our longtime clients purchased the first run of Champion sneakers and have been waiting for a new run to be made so we're happy they're finally here.

New Winter Jackets from Buzz Rickson & 3sixteen

We've received a new William Gibson x Buzz Rickson down jacket that can withstand even the coldest of temperatures. This ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System) jacket was developed originally by the US Army to be an extremely warm jacket that is lightweight and allows full mobility while wearing. Buzz Rickson's version has a custom nylon outer and liner and is filled with 80% down and 20% feathers for extreme comfort in the cold.

We've also received this year's version of 3sixteen's popular stadium jacket, available now in black waxed canvas.

Both of these jackets are available now at our stores and in our online store.

Studio D'Artisan Nep Denim Jeans, Indigo Dyed Heavy Flannel, & Stoneware Mugs

We've just received a shipment of jeans, winter flannels, and stoneware mugs from Studio D'Artisan.

Their new Nep Denim Selvedge jeans are made of mixed length cotton staples to achieve a unique lightly nepped denim. We had this run produced exclusively for us without the crotch rivet, we feel this gives the front of the jean a cleaner look.

We love Studio D'Artisan's flannel shirts and this new one is quite special with the blue parts of the pattern being pure indigo dyed. Over time the blue with fade just like a pair of jeans with the pattern changing slightly as the indigo fades away.

We've also received a small number of their new stoneware mugs with an original shape and branded with SDA's artwork all around. These are available now in three colors.

So I'm getting ready to get my 4th pair of jeans as my strike golds are getting near the end of their rope. Would like some opinions/advice! So far the jeans I have got are:

    SExI14 -> Iron Heart 301s -> Strike Gold 5109

As you can see, I stay with the slim/tapered cuts. I got the SExI14's in sz 34, they fit pretty perfect, but are on the slimmer side through the legs for my taste, top block is almost perfect. I then got the Iron Heart 301s in sz 34. The iron heats must have run big or I messed up sizing because the size 34 is too big for me now, so they stay up in my closet.
Most recently I got a pair of 5109.I got them in a size 33 and they fit fantastic. A touch big in the waist - but nothing a belt cant fix. And through the legs the fit it perfect.

So I am looking for help deciding my next pair. I am currently between:

    1. Strike Gold 1109/2109/5109
    2. Strike Gold 009LTD
    3. SExSG24-09
    4. 3Sixteen ST-140x/ST-100xk
    5. SExI08
    6. Iron Heart 301s-14 (the 21oz is too much for me)

So based off of the strike gold 5109 size 33/SExI14 size 34 in fit and size -what are some jeans you would recommend? Do you have any experience with the jeans listed above? If so I'd love to hear (especially if you have owned multiple ones including 5109 so you can compare). I am a big fan of slubby, interesting denim. Do you have any other jeans you think I may like and would fit the bill?

Thanks a bunch guys I appreciate at.

If you like slubby heavier weight fabrics, the Wavy Standards (Self Edge x The Strike Gold) are pretty sweet. They're a 17 ounce nicely textured denim.

I believe you also emailed me for advice and I replied.. I think you should look at the SG 009LTD or Iron Heart's 301 or 633 fit. With the IH jean you have such a wide range of denim colors and weights that once you decide on the fit you have a wide range of denim styles to choose from. I know you're leaning towards the 301 but the 633 is a really good fit if you want a slight bit more room in the top block. If not, the 301 is the way to go.

Flat Head Loopwheeled Hoodies, Winter Flannels, & Heavy Thermals

We've just received one of the nicest hoodies we've seen from Flat Head. They've taken their heavy loopwheeled fabric and turned it into a solid black hoodie with chainstitch embroidered patches, custom ribbing, and a black Universal zipper.

Along with the new hoodie we've received two new winter flannels and a heavy thermal shirt with Flat Head's over the top construction and fabric.

We sold through the new heavyweight 8002 slim tapered jean faster than anticipated and have also just received a small restock of these jeans at all stores.
