Slumberhouse Pear + Olive. Enjoyable, but for warmer weather than I am experiencing now.
    Put away until Memorial Day.

Q: I've lined up about 10 samples of rose fragrances I have wanted to try. Have been saving them for Spring. How would you all tackle this group of fragrances? All at once, one/day, or something in between?

When I am in that position, I typically do three per day: one in the morning before my shower, one for the workday, and then one for after hours. But sometimes I am so keen to smell them that I end up trying them all in one day!

SOTD: Royal English Leather. I've had this bottle for over 3 years and have maybe used 10% of it. I like it but am rarely in the mood for it. Nice on a rainy day when you're not going anywhere though

Are you wearing the original from 1993 (yellow box) or the Mythiques version?

The yellow box from the 9-trés. A friend of mine who is another fragrance nut gave it to me as a gift last year. It's really pretty. but kind of strong in that 80s/90s way.

Luca Turin gave it a very strongly positive review in his guide. Perfumistas generally have a very high opinion of it, I think. It's a bit too sharp and green for my taste, though.

It's very stemmy - not just a floral but a cut flower floral.

Funny, but before I even tried Insense, I made a perfume with Yosh Han and my requirement was a "masculine floral" because I was digging Tubereuse Criminelle so much at that time, and it smells quite similar in many ways to Insense. Another fragrance that has many similar attributes to Insense, to me, is Odeur 71.
