That sounds good. Don't recall the line. Who carries it?

L'inc, I know you like florals. Have you tried La Via del Profumo Tawaf? I like jasmine, quite a bit, but this took my appreciation for jasmine, and for this house, to a new level.

Here's a link to Summersent's website. They're based in Chicago, but I don't know much more than that.

I haven't tried Tawaf; it looks pretty expensive! Jasmine is actually one of my least favorite floral notes. I enjoy it if it's well blended, but if it's front and center, I usually find it overwhelming. Would you describe it as a soliflore?

    SOTE is Rose Anonyme

Some ELDO scent. For some reason they've decided not to print the name of the scent on the sample vial.

Hmm. Vanilla, creamy, herby, aquatic. Now that I think of it, I think it is Bijou Romantique, but I can't be sure.

I've been trying the Guerlain classics, in vintage form where I can find them. This one just blows me away. Orange blossom, iris and anise up top. three of my favorite notes, and the combo is a killer. Thats the good news.

The bad? Now I have to find the vintage and shell the bucks to put a bottle on my dresser. Oy, why did you guys get me started on this?

Yes, I think it is fair to characterize Tawaf as a soliflore, although there are some other notes in a secondary role--myrrhe, oppoponax and narcissus. But jasmine is the star, and it is terrific. This is easily the most indolic floral I have tried. You'd swear there was civet in the mix, it is so oily and animalic. None of the sweetness you get with jasmine typically. And the jasmine has a solid green note, as well.

I'm buying a bottle (albeit, a small one).

How is it? The Harrod's Exclusive of Amouage (Salalah Green) is quite good.
