SL Chergui. Feels a bit off-kilter, but right in its deliberate imperfection.

Santal Blush. I love this stuff. The top is okay, but once it gets to the heart it's just fantastic.
Also, a huge thanks to Rambo, who's a great guy! I really owe you.

I've got Le Labo's Labdanum 18 on my left wrist for the past two hours and I'm liking it. Powdery, poopy, ambery, kind of a vanilla-like sandlewood (does this make any sense?).

Kind of, although I never get the poopy. It's mostly resinous/powdery/vanilla on me.

Today: Amber Absolute. I figure, 33 degrees outside, it's cold enough.

Le Labo Santal 33. This could not be further from what I expected. The top is very pungent and medicinal, and there's much more leather than sandalwood. As it dries down, it becomes somewhat sweeter (and better, IMO.) The base is lightly ambery. I don't like it a lot.

Malle - Le Parfum de Thérèse

The top is a little too fruity. Drydown gets really good with the cedar and leather .

I'm going today to Yosh Han, a perfumer here in San Francisco, and having a scent made for me. I'm excited, nervous, and kind of perturbed with myself for scheduling the meeting during the NFL playoff games, but it should be a great experience from which I hope to get a scent that I love.

Frederic Malle - Une Fleur de Cassie. Opening too floral. Drydown gets better but it still seems a little weird to me. Guess I'll have to wear it once again.

Miller Harris Feuilles de Tabac. I've always liked this one - very pleasant. It's a sweet, almost damp tobacco. Kinda reminds me of fresh raw tobacco leaf, if you've ever handled that.

I've always liked her scents but they're so ******* short lasting that its almost pointless.

I'm lounging around on Sunday morning and, not having showered yet today, the Feuilles de Tabac is still going strong over 24 hours after application. Though I must say I have a manly thatch of hair on my chest and most scents apart from the eau de cologne type citrus scents lasts a long time on me.
