I'm glad you liked it! As I've mentioned before, I liked this the first time I tried it, but I didn't love it. But every time I wore it after that, I appreciated it more and more. Now it's one of my go-to scents.

MPG Secrete Datura for me today.

    Today it's Creed Millesime Imperial.

On me it has a golden glow of almost sweat with, if attention is paid, a fruity core. Perfect for playing in the sun.

It's a scent, in my mind, for the particular day, like today: 95 degrees, sunny, and nothing on the
    agenda but play.

SotD: Guerlain - Vetiver. I respect it but don't love it.
SotN: Bond No. 9 - New York Amber and Hermessence - Poivre Samarcande. The former is nice, the latter is very nice.

Yesterday I sampled L'Heure Bleu. I think it's great, but I couldn't wear it myself. I'm not a fan of the violets, and the drydown is too gourmand for my taste. Still, a very moving scent.
I was going to buy an edp of Jicky, but they were out, so it will have to wait. Also tried Mitsouko parfum. This is definitely worth it, but with the mark-up here I will try to wait until I'm back in the US to buy it.
    Today, Habit Rouge

SotD: Hermèssence - Rose Ikebana. Rose, pamplemouse, musk. I like it quite a bit, good for warm weather. Very good longevity for an EdT (it's an EdT, no?)
SotN: TFPB - Amber Absolue. Not bad. And Dior - Diorella. Good, but not my favorite type of scent.

I agree with you about Rose Ikebana. It's very crisp and bright, so it's excellent for summer. And yeah, the longevity is really good. Are you testing a bunch of the Hermessence now? I noticed you wore Poivre Samarcande the other day.

Really wanting to like this one more. Seems like rather poor longevity (applied 4 hours ago). Starts off with a strong woodsy bit with some sweet/sour in there, but it's died out now past recognition.

I bought the sampler pack from STC (daily chance special), so yep. There's something warm balsamic, probaly vanilla/amber, in the base of Ikebana, too.

I haven't sniffed any of the Hermessence line yet. I'd like to see what JC Ellena does with Tonka.

Wow, seems like you guys get a lot of great samples. The only Hermessences I have much experience with are Ambre Narguille and Osmanthe Yunnan. I like them both a lot, especially the OY, but I don't think they are worth the price.
Today is gloomy grey with a forecast for rain. Mitsouko edp

Hermèssence - Santal Massoia. I wasn't impressed in the beginning. It grew on me over time, so I guess I should wear it a couple times before giving a review. I tend to say that it's decent but overpriced.

Vetiver 46 by Le Labo. I get a lot of more incense then vetiver but i am on a Le Labo kick right now so no complaints.
