Dior Homme Intense today. At least I think I was wearing it; can’t say I noticed. Maybe the molecules froze on application.

Today I am wearing Acqua Universalis by Maison Tim Kurkijdan.

Love the initial notes on this as well as the drydown but it has almost no projection. I find this is the case with a lot of citrus/powdery scents.

What are the more long lasting, well projected scents of these two varieties? I have a few samples on the way from STC to try including:

Santa Maria Novella Acqua di Colonia

Comme des Garcons Series 4 Cologne - Vettiveru

    Le Labo Bergamote 22

    Serge Lutens Fleurs de Citronnier

    Serge Lutens Fleurs d'Oranger

Tom Ford Private Blend Italian Cypress (Milan Exclusive)

    Santa Maria Novella Melograno

    Hermes Eau D'Orange Verte

    Tom Ford Costa Azzurra

    Atelier Cologne Pomelo Paradis

Looking forward to seeing what fits the bill.

You might want to try out Annick Goutal's Eau d'Hadrien as well as Penhaligon's Bayolea - these are two relatively tenacious citrus fragrances.

You might also want to try Cologne Indélébile by Frederic Malle.
Your SL Fleurs d'Oranger isn't really going to be a citrus scent. It's much more of a white floral, with orange blossom in the lead. But it's fantastic.

I'm wearing Une Fleur de Chanel today.

I went through a 3.3 oz Habit Rouge in a single year 2014. Is that normal?! And, any perfumes that are in the same fragrance group (citrus giving way to musky) that I should try?

I'd say start with other concentrations of Habit Rouge, like EdT, EdP, and Parfum/extrait. Try other Guerlains like Heritage. And then I'd say some related houses like Hermes and even some Malles. Basically look for old school French type stuff. Maybe even a bit of Chanel oldies?

Today, I'm wearing Olfactive Laboratory's Ombre Indigo, which is nice and is an awesome color, but it is an overpriced designer-scent-quality vetiver.

Been away for a long weekend to celebrate the birthday of the Queen of Australia, even though it isn’t her birthday. (Don’t ask).

I took my cant of Original Santal with me and wore it the last couple of days. Saturday I wore New Haarlem. Both of these are ideal cold weather scents, and hit the spot nicely.

Great suggestions, the only Hermes I've tried is Terre d' other than D'Orange verte which I used to wear regularly a couple of years back. Is there anything specific in the Hermes line. Where do you buy vintage Chanel?

MASSIVE eBAY SALE. I’ll be putting up a huge amount of menswear including Brioni, Zegna, Stefano Ricci, Hermes, Canali, Cantarelli, Borrelli, and much more.

When would you be doing this?

Ongoing. I have a room full of such stuff. I have gone a little quiet now due to pressures of work, but will pick it up again soon. PM me your size(s) if you’re after something.

Apologies for shilling Back to frags.
