My go-to scent for a job interview is Mark Birley. Since I don’t have an interview today, I’m wearing what is probably my run-away-from scent for an interview: Black Afghano.

I am wearing Oud 27 today. This is probably somewhere in the middle of my list of favorites, but for whatever reason it called out to me this morning.

Really rank opening. I don't even know how to describe it.

Mitsouko today. Not sure why I chose this, or even if I like it that much.

The opening reminds me of a brewery.

I am wearing Tauer Rose Flash today. This is a big, resiny rose. The projection is always greater than I remember, and so once again I applied a bit too much. But there are worse things that can happen to people than to be exposed to the smell of an Andy Tauer fragrance, I guess.

Wore Santal 33 today. Just received a sample of Dior Homme Intense and gave it a spray... Don't know why there's so much hype over this, smells like baby powder

Cafe Rose today. Looks like the weather is turning and it is time to break out the cool-weather scents.

Santal 33 is nuclear strong. People will smell you before they see you. It's nice, but I wished I liked it more.

I'd say DHI's opening smells like makeup. The drydown is a very nice cocoa scent. Wait for it and see if you change your mind.

Yep, I just do one spray to the chest and it lasts for hours.

Took a shower not long after spraying the DHI so didn't get a chance to experience the full progression. Will give it another try some time.

    _________

    Today I'm wearing Ylang 49

Ylang 49 is one of the Le Labo scents whose name is really accurate. The first time I smelled it, I was blown away at how good it was.

I'm wearing MPG George Sand today. Similar story with this one: when I first smelled this, I knew I had to get a full bottle.

Ylang 49 is a beast of a fragrance to me - very well done with a powerful projection and life on my skin.

Today I wore Dzing! - I love that ungulate manure, caramel corn, and leather/petrol smell.

For the first time in forever, Surrender to Chance has put some fragrances I wanted to buy on sale for their Fabulous Fragrance Friday. I picked up 5 mL samples of Honour Man, Jubilation XXV, Dzing!, Rose 31, Patchouli 24, L'air du Desert Marocain, and Lonestar Memories. That should last me for awhile.

    Wearing Creed Aventus today.

I just checked the STC page; there are lots of other great fragrances included in the sale as well. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have looked if Ambulance Chaser hadn't mentioned it because usually the Friday sales don't have much that I want.

For those interested, Coeur de Vetiver Sacré is on sale. That one has been mentioned a fair bit here lately.
