Got a friend visiting Pasadena, CA. Does anybody know a good place to try or buy fragrances there?

Amouage Fate Man today. Definitely one of my favorites. I wonder how this sells? On the one hand, it's not particularly "easy" (lots of cumin and immortelle), but on the other hand I don't suppose the average Amouage customer is looking for something easy.

A coincidence; I just put on a sample of Lyric Man for the first time. At first, it seemed soapy, but then it revealed itself--a beautiful rose, and I don't even like roses. Nicer than roses. This is going to sound cliche, but it's reminding me of someone years ago.

Lyric Man is fantastic. Did you catch the lime note at the top?

SOTD: Le Labo Patchouli 24- really enjoyable smoky frag here. Patchouli? What patchouli?

Racine today. Not the vetiver I was expecting. It’s pretty sharp at the outset, and never really develops the fresh, woody smell I associate with vetiver. It dries down to a sweet musk. Doesn’t last that well either, but I still quite like it.

Today: Rien - such a satisfying fragrance to my nose.

RE: Fate Man, I was pretty close to purchasing Like This because it's such a good immortelle but decided on getting the Amouage instead due to the oddity of it. I love it as well.

Pre-shower: Bois Bourbon. This is a perfume that was made for the 10th anniversary of Luckyscent. I don't think any of the four scents created for the occasion got the attention they deserved. This is a very pleasant warm spicy scent. It opens up quite aromatic (lavender), and develops from there into a boozy, warm woody scent. Very nice for fall and winter.

SOTD: Terrasse à St. Germain by Jul et Mad. This is a lovely musky, rhubarby floral. As I've mentioned many times, the Jul et Mad lineup is absolutely fantastic. In fact, I'm going to use my powers as a mod to ban anyone in this thread who doesn't try some of their scents.

Wearing it today again. I like it in a weird way, it's a leather scent that is very synthetic and makes no pretense about it and dries down to sweet rubber. I know that doesn't come across as something to own but I really like Tom of Finland.

Le Labo Rose 31. Really interesting rose-cumin combination. Not nuclear strength like Santal 33. I'll have to wear this a few more times to judge properly.

SOTD: MFK 754. Wife used to love this. Now that her nose is used to Tom Ford's stuff such as Tuscan Leather and Amber Absolute, her reaction this morning was "smells like laundry detergent, what is it?"
