To say this is a "temptation" would be a gross error, I was thinking more along the lines of a temptation for the OP. I would how ever like a single button blue blazer ...

I think you must be mistaken, my cuffs are almost unnoticeable. In fact Nino had to purposefully mismatch the stripes so that the cuff would be noticed. This jacket you posted has all the hallmarks of the more flamboyant cuff that members here refer to as the "Flusser" style. Notice how the style is supposed to make a grand, sweeping gesture and is not sewn against the sleeve which is the distinguishing characteristic of lo stile Flusser; not at all subtle. On a side note, the crest on this jacket screams, iGent

For all your ostentatious claims to know so much about clothing, it's clear that you still have no idea how your own cuff is made, or how the traditional SR version differs.

Or perhaps in the context of this thread, the other way around. I will agree it makes more sense if both are done rather than one or the other.

I think im going to get a few more cuffs like on my suit jacket. I can always have them removed and I like the power they seem to have of attracting style aficionados and repelling stylistic phonies in merino wool clothing. They act as a sort of sartorial silver bullet.

Is that a reference to me?

Can you point out a single "style aficionado" those ugly cuffs have "attracted"? And, maybe you can clear this up, but I thought you were into women.

Oh God in heaven, please let this thread become Manton versus Buffy on the subject of women.

Please! I will honor thy name.

Why do you think that's the case?

There really seems to be a lot of animosity floating around the forum lately.

It occurred to me that I may have mis-spoken. Is it possible to be gored by talons? I usually hear that word used with respect to injuries caused by horns. I wonder if it also applies to talons, or even claws. Is there a better word to use to denote an injury caused by talons (of propriety, specifically, or even just ordinary talons). Maybe it still called a scratch, even if it is a serious injury.

I think you could, theoretically, be gored by talons, but talons are rarely used in that fashion. I suspect you'd be more likely to be slashed by talons, like this:

The reasons the picture appears to be upside down are too complicated to explain in the space available.
