“Alas, you can’t and you won’t. But wait, I have a solution. Knit ties. No, hear me out before you go to have ‘a little work done.’ Knit ties are imperfect by nature. The knot slips a bit. They fly in the wind. They pull over time. They have a variable shape. They are casual, playful, a kid dressed in his dad’s clothes. Do you have a bulldog? They are like a bulldog face. Imperfect, yet, beautiful. Forever young? No. But they ooze sprezzatura, spirit, elegance.”
--Luciano Barbera, on how to stay young forever

    Measurements!

Sorry I forgot to include these in the original post guys.

As you can see from the below, the lengths vary a little between 56" and 58" (measured flat on a table). Widths are 2.5" for the plain colours, 2⅞" for the stripes and dots.

Regarding length, I just wanted to note that when I started to wear knit ties I found some of them a little long (I'm 5'10"), but then I started to wear them with the back blade slightly longer, which completely fixed the problem, and looks better anyway.

    1) Burgundy 57 x 2.5"
    2) Bottle green 57 x 2.5"
    3) Black 58 x 2.5"
    4) Navy 58 x 2.5"
    5) Blue/light blue 57 x 2⅞"
    6) Charcoal/yellow 58 x 2⅞"
    7) Wine/navy 56 x 2⅞"
    8) Navy/green 57 x 2⅞"
    9) Bright red/blue 58 x 2⅞"
    10) Yellow/blue 57 x 2⅞"
    11) Navy w/green spots 58 x 2⅞"

Please feel free to ask any more questions you have.

PS: Just for fun, below is a close-up of the navy-with-green-dots (my favourite out of this collection) showing the fantastic crunchy texture.

I'm definitely in for the one with the green dots!

Any chance of any more dotted knit ties in different colours, such as navy with red dots??

    Hey Journeyman

I've had a look and it appears that my supplier doesn't stock navy with red dots at the moment. Perhaps I'll suggest it--it would look great.

In the meantime, I hope the navy with green dots will do :)

    Toby.

Spots are sewn on by hand or machine?

I'm sorry I'm not sure: machine I presume but I'll clarify and get back to you.

...However, I only have one navy-green-dot tie left, so if you like it, you need to get in quick!

    Sorry sir!

I'll definitely get some more with my next shipment, which will include wool knits for the colder months here in Australia. Hopefully in the next month or two.
