Anybody have any idea how to get rid of cigarette/smoke smell out of a leather jacket? Finally got my jacket back from my friends. But he is a heavy smoker and had it in a smoking household. Any advice?!?!

Where are you based Ranger? I can recommend a good cleaner (especially for leather) in NYC. I had to have this done before. The whole dryer sheet thing didn't work for me.

dry cleaning being the only solution for smoke odour removal for me as well. and if you have a sensitive nose, it doesnt completely get rid of it. but enough to be of a significant improvement. it's a bit of a lose lose situation for me as well because the leather ends up really dry after a dry clean. even after a condition, it's never really the same again.

you can hand wash it with a light detergent at home as well. i imagine the leather used in sl jackets are quite hefty, so they should be able to withstand some water. i had to wash my toj varsity with leather sleeves and it turned out alright. infact, i'd probably recommend this over dry cleaning because of the less dry leather result you get from hand washing.

Thanks for the help. As of now I turned the jacket inside out. Letting it air out outside a bit.

I hope the smells goes away. Sucks.

i hope it works for you. it really does suck. from my experience, it's the lining that really holds the odour. the leather is more flexible in being aired out. but even then, it's best to nuke the damn jacket :p.

You can also speak with the Saint Laurent store in your area and see which cleaning service they use. Stores tend to use places that do work of at least a decent standard (same goes for tailors and shoe repairs).

SLP EXPERTS: Difference between 2013 Chain Harness Wyatt and 2014 version?

They both appear to have the chunky exposed zipper and no side seam on the boot.
The harness placement seems different though.
Is the shaft size the same on both? Are the zippers the same?

    Thanks.

Zippers and shaft is same as far as I'm aware. Was a FW14 re-issue.

They are not the same. Hardware on fw13 is silver, hardware on fw14 version is more of a gunmetal. Silver>gunmetal

The ring is also slightly bigger in reissue. Slann actually experienced both so he might know more of the differences.

I have finally decided I need a L1 in my life after much debate. This question has probably been discussed here before but I can't seem to find it. Please help if anyone here knows if the quality of the L1 differs according to different seasons. Thanks in advance

I got a L17 in calf but don't love it. I think I might be between sizes.
