ET, that's a great price. Wish it was a cable knit though...

Sounds great with the returns. I fear it could be a hassle with returns if I use a proxy. Still have to pay taxes though, but it won't amount to much. How do you get it to $85? It says 99,99 on my screen.

They'll deduct another 15% if you order before Wednesday. There should be a pop-up screen if you go through the main site, rather than the direct link I posted.

I'm serious - if you plan to be inside at all, you will be sweating like a pig. [IMG]

The purple is now sold out, the grey that MoL posted is likely a shop only piece. They are not inexpensive, even on sale.

^Thanks, I have just bought the one from LL Bean that ET found, so that's probably more versatile. :D

    Echo what RedDevil says.

The RLPL are ridiculously warm. Good only for extreme weather conditions IMO...

I have received the LL Bean cashmere turtleneck. The cashmere is not the softest I have felt. On the other hand I like that it is a bit heavier than my other sweaters. That was exactly what I had hoped for. I bought it in navy, and I like the colour. The fit is also spot on. All in all I am very satisfied with the purchase, and it was a bargain at that price. No sign of an extra customs bill yet, fingers crossed. Thank you again for the help.

Very glad I've found this thread. We are moving in to winter in the antipodes I've been looking for a few with great difficulty. I basically want a thin merino, no ribbing or anyof that malarkey just a fairly fine gauge in a slim fit in charcoal and navy. The Smedley Belvoir seems to be the best I've found so far but will cost out at around $200 by the time it's shipped. Something around $100-150 would be better. Any thoughts? Bugger all available locally so it needs to be something I can get online, which rules uniqlo out.

JOS has them on sale for $59.00. Maybe someone could buy them for you and mail/ship them. I'm getting a couple if I can afford it this weekend.

    Thanks All,

I've just bought one of the Johnstons Merino ones in Navy, and will report back on fit etc when it arrives. Quite good value at around $135 AUD delivered to Australia. Previously I had only seen their Cashmere stuff. If it's good I'll add the charcoal one for winter.
