Has anyone had any experience with Rhodes-Wood tailors in Harrogate, North Yorkshire?

http://www.rhodeswood.co.uk/index.html

I'm in York so a Yorkshire-based tailor would be great for me to make my entry into bespoke suits, and Rhodes-Wood have reasonable prices for semi-bespoke suits (some fusing, machine-sewed buttonholes). I'm hoping someone has used their services before can let me know whether they're any good.

Also, could someone please take a look at what they offer with their 'bespoke' service and tell me if it's a good offer?

Thanks SFers!

Last bump and then I give up.

Could somebody at least tell me if £800 for a semi-bespoke suit is worth it? Pattern cut and a couple fittings, but a half canvassed front (what does this mean?) and some fusing.

Have just logged onto the sight, hence the late reply.

Try Steve Horsman in Armley, Leeds for fully bespoke. Good value for money.

Don't expect a quick job though. You can easily wait 4 - 6 months, unless you put pressure on him.

Don't know if this thread is still open or if anyone is interested but I feel that Steve Horsman merits another mention. Since my first message I have visited Steve on many other occasions and find him to be extreemly accomodating, taking pride and pleasure in his work. Yes, you do wait a long time, yes, be prepared to spend ages in the workshop everytime you go and yes Steve loves a good chat. Putting all this aside, you are garanteed to finally leave with a garment that will turn heads. A true master of his trade who wants to please. Give him a go and you won't be dissapointed, I know I'm not.

That's a great shop which sells some very nice things indeed. However, £800 for MTM is a bit steep and it is probably outsourced somewhere. If you up your budget you can get MTM from Savile Row for only a bit more.
