Inspired by Cathpah's Beckman 9013 Chestnut...

Picked them up from Amazon, taking advantage of their recent 20% off promo:

I have not worn through any pair yet. With a total of 5 pairs of RW + 1 pair of W1K in the rota, plus the fact that I normally only wear boots in the Winter, they probably will last me forever. :)

These are achingly beautiful. I was pondering whether to get the Moc Toes, but after these pictures I might have changed my mind. [IMG]

Yes, hdlp. or Montana Pitch Blend or Sno-seal or anything that has beeswax. Heating leather by putting it in the sun will get it to about 120, maybe 130 degrees F. Not crazy. If the leather is cracked, it's not going to become un-cracked. But doing what I said will open the pores - even in the cracks - and will keep the boot serviceable.

For God's sakes, these are BOOTS.

Ah, yes. They're boots. That means we should put cracked leather in heat, drying it out further, and possibly making the cracking worse.

That makes sense. Because they're boots.

I will, now if only I bought the right size the first time! I have a pair of 9D here but they're too tight in the toe box, so I'm going to go 9.5D.

Anyone want a pair of once worn 9D Posties?
