You got back to me....Carmina is a step above, no doubt. I've been eyeing the same pair to replace the Meermins eventually, which will become my beaters.

Pretty sure we have the same tie....Hober maybe. Probably not the same shirt maker...most of mine are from Mazz or Luxire. I do have some Kamakura though...

Ah on a second look I see. Thought it showed the entire collar, but it's just the back of the shirt [IMG]

Promised myself I wouldn't buy anything for a little while though... I just bought a Barba gold label blue striped shirt and two ties.
Brown stripes and blue micro checks are on the shortlist though.

Pulled the trigger on a Zegna Tuxedo and a Blue, Single Breasted Suit from Corneliani. The tuxedo was 66% off and the Castangia suit was 50% off. Didn't need either, but at those prices it was a no brainer.

EVF, mind sharing the source of your Panama? I really want one but don't really know where to start looking. Looks great BTW.

Here's a webSite devoted to Panama Hats. If you click on "premium"
you'll get the high end, as in $500 plus. I lived in Ecuador over 40 years
ago and bought a low end "panama" for less than a dollar. Not as nice
as what you see in the website, but still wearable. It's a broad brimmed
    "planter style' hat.

Cheers! I bought it from one of the many Ecuadorian companies selling hand made hats on eBay. I bought the last one of this model, so I can't give you a link to it. I must admit I don't know that much about Panama hats either. I found some pages I read through before I made a decision, like this and this page.

I searched for "Montecristi" in "Men's accessories" & went by some of the things in the texts I read. Ultimately though, the width of the brim and the height/shape of the crown was my main concerns. I went with something relatively cheap (~ $200), but there are lots of different price categories, and you can probably make a better deal than me by reading up some more on the subject.

It seems like @comrade has more knowledge about it.
