Rebel Style: Dean, Brando, etc. What are the essentials?

    For the causal days or when you have enough of the suit and tie elegance. What captures the rough exterior of rebel style in your mind?

    Well the "I don't give a fuck" attitide helps, of course, as well as being fit and attractive.

    Aside from that, denim, leather, and monochrome basics. Clothing should fit well - jeans and pants not overly tight, but definitely not loose. Clothing on the torso should be fitted but not restrict movement too much - don't want to have your shoulder seam rip as you're cracking a guy over the head with a pool cue.

    Black or red leather jacket, white tee, jeans. Unfiltered cigarettes.

    They all seem to have a simple style. Clothes that fit and look comfortable. Denim, leather, t-shirts, collared shirts (rarely).

    Isnt this one of those 'if you have to ask....' type questions?

    but to answer the question....slim denim will get you far (Levis 1947 style 501 if you want to be an authentically vintage rebel), paired with engineer boots....but the attitude and overall fitness of a person is probably the best accessory you can have.

    What do engineer boots look like? Who makes good ones?

    here is a classic pair by Frye (great boot company)

    they are usually 8" tall with a side buckle, steel toes
