Man.The 84th precinct is walking distance from my house. That's the precinct that both cops were based at.

Had to smile at this one in the morning's NYT. The name, picture and brief obit. Bet she was a pistol.

I've never heard of anything like this, and cops have been plenty angry at mayors in the past.

This is a massive blow to DeBlasio and he needs to correct course, hard. He won't, I know, but this basically means his mayoralty is ... not over, per se, but he is now simply the mayor of only part of New York. And not the best part.

I just Googled de Blasio, as I wanted to see how tall he is after seeing that back turning video (nearly 6'6"!), and found the first sentence of "Personal Life" in his Wiki to be funny:

I am going to assume this guy is pretty left wing, given that, and he cannot get along with the police union? What's up with that?

    By doing what?
NYPD can do much more harm to deBozo than he can do to them.

Way far left. Been involved in virtually every far left cause since he was 18.

He has deliberately antagonized, slandered and insulted the cops since he ran for office and as mayor. If he is surprised that they despise him, he is a fool. But he is a fool, so he probably is surprised.

When the polls came out Lhota got something like 25% of the votes. My head almost exploded. Could not believe it.

All of the radical liberals are now making excuses for the actions of this gunman. Wtf, is going on in this world?

Lhota's association with Rudy G did him in. Many NY'ers didn't want to take the chance on him.
    (I actually voted for Lhota.)

Exactly. That's how DeBozo can gain the high road.

Not sure when they took the scaffolding down, but damn, St. Patrick's is beautiful.

I'm jealous. I was there 9 days ago and the scaffolding was obscuring the beautiful view. Glad you enjoyed it.

that intersection is crazy busy at this time of year. It's such a contrast to step into St. Pat's from the street.
