fuck meatball shop. I'm bringing a $5 bill (actually, $5.50) and getting spicy beef soup at Super Taste on (i believe) Eldridge. My haircut place is a few blocks east on either Ludlow or Essex, so everytime a cut is necessary, I stop there and have soup before my cut. And then, on the way back, I pick up another order for the following day plus an order of veggie and egg soup for the wife. I'd pick up 4 total orders if I could carry it all.

Well, I wasn't married to the idea of meatballs. I'll have to see if he's heard of it. May also try to find that funky shit in a cup you say is so delicious.

hot taho. I get it from a window at 46 Mott Street (thanks google street view). I think it's 75 cents for a small, which is plenty. It's one of those weird addictions for me, I first tried it from that very same place maybe 11-12 years ago. It's really the only tofu-based dish that I like, and is a perfect afternoon sweet snack. You may or may not like it, it's certainly a little weird, but again, I kill a bowl in 2 minutes.

a quick google of Super Taste brings up gothamist. Nice.

I think Meatball Shop's meatballs are pretty pedestrian, but their ice cream sandwiches are certified.

This. Man are they good. I'll never order a meatball at the meatball shop again.

Walked by the Shake Shack at 11:45 the other day and there was no lineup. Zero. Thought they were closed. Had to have a burger. Not very good.

Could someone please stop Summer Streets?

Had the meatballs. Spicy pork. Not bad, not really good. The ice cream sandwich was nice, albeit unnecessary.

Yeah. Was actually in the mood for the noodles once you mentioned them, but my friend already made a reservation and had been waiting 20 minutes once I got there.

A tad expensive for what they are, but I like the atmosphere and appreciate their late hours of operation. I'll have to have one of those ice cream sandwiches next time I go.

Yeah, but we actually have to live here and there's only so much polishing you can do to a turd [IMG]

I was underwhelmed by Meatball shop. It had a very "Chain" like feel to it, very Olive Garden of Meatballs. Any place that hands me a pencil and has me mark options on a card has me wary.

I'll admit, I've never been to Shake Shack.

Me neither, but I have marvelled at the line many times. Couldn't pass up the opportunity. Burger (the smoke shack) was mondo greasy and the fries were absolute shit - frozen crinkle cut.

    Did not try the shake.
