Did you see them? I couldn't tell if it was lower Central park or Times Square.

Few more just went off. I'm grabbing my axe and kayak, and hitting the Hudson.

    Good luck, amigo.

    Dear MTA,

Why the eff are you dumping old LIRR cars in the middle of the Adirondacks? This was taken in North Creek, near Gore Mountain.

It's the new Short Mountain Railroad, offering non-start service for up to 1000 pensioned employees at a fraction of the carbon footprint of cars. It's part of the state's plan to overtake California as a leader in self-defeating infrastructural ambitions.

Apartment hunting in New York is absolutely the worst thing about living here. It is pure, unadulterated Hell, and you have to pay out the nose for the privilege.

i have found the "find a place you can deal with, get in while the market is rough, and stay there for a while" method is pretty effective.

Yeah, once you find a place, you definitely don't want to move because of how painful it is. Unless you have to, like I just did :fu:

i had a great apartment at a reasonably fair price, the downside was the massive broker fee I had to pay to get it, but I suppose it was worth it in order to live somewhere I really liked.

Yeah, as long as you are certain youll be there for a while, I'd be willing to pay a big broker's fee to get a great place.

I still reserve my right to bitch and moan about it though.
