Aimed for a fast today. Right on cue, my boss walks in with two large pizzas, two packs of cookies, two bags of chips, breadsticks and two 2-liters of pop.

The fast ended, but I kept things dignified.

Everytime I try to cut back on food or save a little bit of cash and not eat out, all of my friends or coworkers want to go out to eat or go for drinks. It's so annoying

Don't let others define your life for you. The day you stop giving a rat's ass what other people think or do and refuse to let them lead you off your path, you will have taken that next step towards personal awesomeness.

I just got my order from True Protein last night; it looks like they sent me a duplicate order, it came in two boxes and each box had the same thing it it. 8lbs. of protein and 2 bottles of beta alanine for half the price! I'm trying out the Gemma (pea) protein this time, and I gotta say it's pretty great. It's a really fine powder and mixes instantly, and the banana flavor is actually pretty good.

Yeah, Trueprotein is pretty good! I just placed and received my first order with them. Shipping us a bit expensive but the protein is the cheapest anywhere, mixes the best of any protein I have tried and the flavors are excellent.

Wise words indeed. Especially regarding dieting, it's pretty easy for other ppl to rip on you or comment (you know, those "my god, WHY are you eating that" comments one gets ad nauseam), but for most it's just a way of coping with the fact that they see someone doing something differently and seeing results.

Just blaze your own path man.

Oh I do. I've gone from 6' 197ish down to just under 180 this year. Steadily lost weight all year and am pretty ripped up. Well under 10% BF. I'm not super strict with my diet, I just don't eat fast food or drink cokes. Still consume plenty of beer, meat, and delicious food in my diet. I don't even consider what I do cutting back. I just don't eat like a total fatass, work out some, and see results.

I was trying to use a EZ bar to bicep curl today and it was literally impossible for me to use. Holding it on the curved bit I couldn't even curl half what I do with a normal barbell, anyone else experience anything like this with an EZ bar?

Gonna give intermittent fasting a shot for three or four weeks and see what comes of it. Will keep everyone posted (because I'm sure you're dying to know).

it's probably because it makes you actually do it properly and only use your biceps.

having said that you don't need to be doing bicep curls anyway. IMO, as a fairly skinny dude all your back exercises (bent over row, pullups, chinups) should cover biceps well enough.

But Brah, what about the gunz??

Seriously, I agree. I just do 2 sets each of commando pullups and diamond pushups supersetted to failure at the end of my workout, in lieu of any bi/tri isolation exercises.

I'm a big supporter of Dante and their work at true protein but their protein is far from the "cheapest". I use them for making custom blends but even their straight bulk prices are generally significantly higher than some of the best mainstream brands (not getting into discussions about effectiveness of each brand etc).

Nonetheless- I'm a True customer.

Hard to beat the recession whey blends from what I know - I remember paying ~$150 for 25lbs of iso/concentrate, which is a steal if you have to buy protein in Canada. $75 for 5lb of ON? No thanks.

Yeah, I do a set of 3x10 hammer curls for my forearms, but other then that I don't do any dedicated arm exercises. I do 3x10 sets of bench press, dead lift and bent over row every other day and the other days I do 3x10 sets of close grip bench press, over head press and hammer curls the other days so I figure that does my arms enough.
