Yeah I was specifically talking about the weeks building up to a meet as I felt like it was extremely light. The program had started to taper down the volume significantly 1 month out. For the off season I'll stick to lower intensity high volume for hypertrophy but once another meet is announced I'm going to start building up to higher intensity which sheiko doesn't really do.

    Sounds like a good plan.

Just got my next weeks training. Seems like occlusion is going to be a mainstay, or at least be used frequently in the coming weeks. Will do it for 3 different movements this week.

Really loving this bro style higher rep high volume stuff. Will be much easier to recover from on my cut too.

Got a Nutribullet. Maybe I am an idiot, but I got into the idea after SNL an infomercial came on. Demos looked decent and then I saw that it had a 600W motor, which is good for its price. Not too bad. This shit is the only way I will consume a decent amount of fruits and veggies, and the only way wifey will take whey protein, so it's a win win.

Any good ideas for shakes though? I am thinking of using some kind of fruit juice as the base. Tried some blueberry/carrot/kale combos with water and unflavored whey... they are drinkable but def need some sweetening.

I often blend spinach, carrots, frozen raspberries and whey. Occasionally add some orange juice to make it thinner. Like 125g spinach, 3-4 carrots, 150-200g raspberry and 50g whey.

FFFFFFFFF 3-4 carrots and 125g spinach? That must be like a 40oz shake. I did about 120g blueberries, ~140g carrots, 50g whey and 8oz OJ. Came out to about 24 oz and I could only put away about 12. Still trying to figure it out.

At what point do you think you should go see a doctor? When you can't get up from bed? When pain meds don't do anything? When you're sucking dick for meth?

Here's a fucking amazing smoothie for you.

    8oz milk (any kind)
    100g greek yoghurt
    100g froz mango
    100g froz blackberries
    1tbs coconut oil
    1-2 scoops vanilla whey

    And another one
    8oz milk
    1/2 cup pumpkin
    1tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp nutmeg
    1/4 tsp ginger
    1tsp maple syrup
    1-2 scoops vanilla whey

    8oz milk
    2tbsp peanut butter
    100g froz strawberries
    1-2 scoops chocolate whey

Basically make a shake with whatever sounds awesome and add whey haha.
It's also the only way Kale doesn't taste like shit.

For smoothies that are heavy on the veggies, I always try to add citrus, lemon lime or orange really helps to improve flavor.

Whey this, whey that. What's the absolute best, most premium whey one can buy? You guys have me thinking it'll go great in my smoothies.

Uh not as filling as actually eating vegetables. I don't get why everything has to be a smoothie. Veggies are yum.

Yeah, I am not a big vege smoothie guy. I don't have a problem getting enough tasty vegetables into my meals. And lol kale.

The cheapest per g of protein, imo. Whey is whey, largely, and if you're incorporating it into smoothies then the minimal differences in flavor between brands is less important.

I was encouraged by a power lifter dude at the gym to try some singles for the deadlift, which I never do usually. Ended up doing a pretty easy 170kg/375lb personal best. Not at all a huge weight obviously, but very fun still! The same guy promised to make me a program to put me at 200 kg/440 lb in January, will see how that goes...
