With the amount of steak I eat I may as well just double the amount of vodka I drink for the hell of it. I'm dead anyway according to this study.

You've got to have some perspective of who they are studying. People age 50-65 who are consuming that much protein are not bodybuilders, they're regular people eating loads of hot dogs and steak and god knows what else, thus the not-surprising diabetes link found in the study.

I rhetorically wonder where on that BroScience lifter's progression I currently fall... and how to get to the next step...

    THIS.

If the people in any study do not remotely in any way resemble you, you may as well ignore it.

    Good points KJ and Trini.
I am under the threshold so I would not be in the risk zone anyway.

I still believe there's some merit to it as animal protein sources like red meat have been linked to health issues before. Everything in moderation and you're fine.
Just wanted to show it since its been all over the news and in case someone missed it.

Actually most science would point towards a nearly entirely plant-based diet being the best for longevity and avoidance of things like cancer and cardiovascular disease. Not that I care...I'm still gonna be eating lbs of bacon and chicken.

    On an unrelated note I had my BF% estimated(calipers) today...12% at 192lbs. I think that's fairly accurate.

So last night I was at a supp shop loading up on Quest Bars and some super weird looking guy about 5'7", 150, skinny fat with glasses came in and asks if they carry Deca. The dude ringing me up goes, "Uhh....like deca, deca? No, we don't carry that."

"Oh, well have you got any old jack3d?"

    "Uhhh no."

"Okay" and walks out the door.

I felt like I was in some sort of a dream.

Asking people at a supplement store whether they have deca is probably the most substantial argument that you aren't ready for vitamin t.

I have a mate whose currently running mediumish doses of NPP (faster acting deca for unaware brahs) who is lactating. Like legit lactating. Obvs NPP and deca can cause progesterone sides so they should be able to cause lactation, but until he told me I've never heard of anyone actually fucking lactating from gear. When I asked him why he wasn't changing to something else he justified it by saying it's only a few drops lol.

Feel much better about this cut after going to the gym today. Weighed in at 177.5 (was 186 on the same scale Monday) and PRed on deadlift to boot.

Quest bars are the best out of all the ones I tried, but I still hate how all these protein bars are mad chewy.

Holy shit are girls good at squats and deadlifts. My girlfriend is a tiny tiny girl, first day lifting and she did three sets of 45 x 5 squat, 35 x 5 bench, 65 x 5 deadlift. Form looked perfect, hitting depth, no but wink, chest up and but back.
