Based on my uneducated opinion and limited experience pullups/chinups are not that great for lats anyway :nest:

I mean I can do weighted chins and all that, but I feel way more activation from HS/cable rows. I def can't hit 7 reps +90 though, that's impressive.

Why the fuck are any of us listening to someone about what's a good pullup or not from someone who finds a 300x8 difficult?

    We've been trolled.

Every off day on my cut was basically keto with low cals, so I've only done 3 days in a row. Still enough to make me a zombie.
Had a group project and my mates hated me since I basically just sat there unable to think or contribute in any way.

I have not, but I was going to use principles from keto and leangains once I start my cut, which is why I asked you about it on facebook that one time.

I think that lower carbs, moderate fat and high protein is pretty much the perfect formula for cutting weight fat while maintaining mass. Am I wrong?

Maintaining mass on keto? Good luck haha.. I say that keeping your macros at a solid 40/30/30 usually works better.

Yeah, regular keto is horrible for performance. For the vast majority, carbs are the best fuel for lifting.
On a cut, you need enough protein to not lose muscle from the calorie deficit. That is generally a bit higher than your bulking intake, since you don't have as many carbs that will help you build muscle. I (and many other BBers) go BW x 1.5 grams of protein when I cut.

For fat intake, you just need enough to not fuck up your hormones. Around BW x 0.2 is bare minimum. If you carb cycle as Leangains suggest, you should get this amount of fat as an average between your lifting and off days for the whole week.

Carbs make up the rest of the calories. On Leangains you only eat "real carbs" (starch) on lifting days with the fat as low as you can.

My macros that I used at the end of my cut was:

    Lifting days (3x a week): 250 protein, 25 fat, 400 carbs = 2800 calories (maintenance)
    Rest days: 270 protein, 75 fat, 50 carbs = 1900 calories (-30% deficit)

For the week that averages out to macros: 45P / 20F / 35C

Leangains or not, if you get the same macros by the end of the week you will have the same end result. The biggest benefits with Leangains is the mental aspect of every lifting day being heavy carb rewards and that you can eat fatty stuff like eggs and bacon on your rest days when fat intake is higher. My rest day intake of 1900 calories may seem super low but if all your carbs are fibrous veggies like broccoli, you will get decently full.

John had me run a few rounds of keto during the holidays last year, it got easier every time. I'm actually running a few cycles of CKD and its not half bad, I've noticed some strength lost as first, but now it's evening out...

He posted on IA a few days ago... so alive somewhere.

Not to dig this back up, but I've discovered the issue. You're performing a totally different movement and criticizing TK for not having the same ROM as you... on a different movement. Do an experiment while you're sitting in your chair. Place your hands in chin up position and pull them all the way down. Take a note of where this lands on your chest. Place your hand in a wide grip pull up position and pull them all the way down, remember to stay wide you can't let them sink in towards your body. It's not the same position, at least not with my shoulder flexibility, and if it is, it was still much more difficult to get your hands that low.

This is what I'm doing. I cycle my rest days and work days, and all of the caloric difference between days come straight out of my carb allotment. Protein to spare muscle and fat to satisfy needs of hormones/body function. The rest is just carbs, but at a large enough deficit, the "rest" is unfortunately small :)

also just bought the theraband flexbar, looks deceptively like a regular dildo but it's ridiculous, it seems to take my elbow pain away almost instantly.
