I started cutting my own hair. I can do it every day when I'm bored, it's boss.

TKJTG - learn to squat. Your heels lift, your roll inside of your foot. You are not sitting back at all, you are breaking at the knees before the hips.

    Ditch the knee wraps.

    Fix that squat form man!

The way your throwing all the weight on your quads and not letting your hips drop back into the hole is causing your squats to be a mile high.

I could give you my input on changing your technique if you want :)

We need more videos like TKJTG's! It's good for everyone. Give advice and inspiration, and get advice and inspiration. And it's fun.

I appreciate the input. I showed the vid to a PLer friend of mine and he basically said the same thing. Thus why today I did low bar squats with only 225. A big part of my problem is I squat entirely with my quads and almost none with hamstrings or glutes. As a result I have pretty beefy quads but pathetic hammies. Gonna do low bar for a bit to try and even things out some.

Also I have hope that by developing my hamstrings it'll help correct my deadlift form as well.

Note that low bar helps with shifting your center of gravity a bit. But it's not a fix-all for improper technique. I would get a video with 225 and post it for some feedback. I used to have the same problem (not as drastic) with a low bar position. Definitely more linked to technique than actual bar placement.

Thanks, will do! Are my form issues going to lead to injury, or are they more of an efficiency thing?

They make you more prone to injury due to instability and excess stress on your knees.

Definitely the latter. Who likes a high, ugly squat? :)

well, youre loading up your quads and not your hammies..youre putting too much stress on knees.
quads will shorten, knees will start hurting. could lead to back problems, hip flexor issues..youre setting yourself up for a "lower crossed syndrome"

Man I just realized I got a lot weaker with chin ups. I'm nowhere near this explosive now. This was about a year and a half ago. These were prob 185BW+35 vs 190BW+25 now. One thing though is that rack had a 45 degree grip, which I absolutely loved. Now my grip is straight and I hate it.
