really enjoying wearing my mmm 5-zip lately, which is weird considering the cut isn't particularly flattering on my body and the leather quality isn't fantastic (though it's still above-average). I only bought it so I can match my wife, but I'm liking it more and more..

I actually think it looks better on your build. It gets too puffy if you have a bigger chest. Slouchy look ftw

    Just landed in my inbox.

Gmail being the PoS it is, I can't see whether it's responsive or not :(

There may have been a season where the anti-fits were sold as westpoints. I bought a pair of westpoints off ebay but ended up getting a pair of anti-fits, and IIRC they were tagged as westpoints.

    Jackpot either way.

    That's weird.
Do you know what season yours were from?
The reply I got from W+H was that they couldn't tell me what they were without seeing them and that they may simply be an older model since the cut has changed over the years (highly doubt they ever had a 13.5" rise though).

Not sure what season. Definitely the anti-fit cut, though.

I've been wanting to play a bit more with silhouette these days. Looking for pants that give the more voluminous silhouette to go with a tighter top/leather jacket, but hoping to avoid diaper butt since I don't find that practical. Kind of like sweat pants but avoiding the jersey texture. More futuristic cotton/polyester or even a finer wool? Some of spacepope's fits come to mind. What should I be looking at - Silent? Yohji?

Is Songs for the Mute an Australian brand? For some reason it seems Japanese to me but I feel like I've read/heard they are Australian?
(Too lazy to google on iPhone)

They are Australian. The designer duo (a couple) are asian, duno if they're Japanese.

Yeah they are. I believe they are Sydney based but I may be wrong.

Thanks. I don't even know where I read that, I know next to nothing about the brand. Maybe I just saw them around when I was home in the summer?

Australian; Sydney based. I recommend checking out their store in Glebe if you get the chance. Good folk. Melvin (one half of the SftM duo) is a champ.

I would avoid Silent. Most of the bottoms have guaranteed diaper butt because of the way the rear is cut, and they're generally made of the sort of jersey fabric it sounds like you want to avoid. Also not sure Yohji is right unless you want a lot of volume, though you can definitely find Yohji bottoms that aren't quite so large. But I say if you're going to go with some volume then go all the way. Makes for a really cool silhouette with a more fitted jacket like you're describing. This sort of thing:

Actually that SS12 set of style shots is one of my favorite they ever did because of all the Yohji pants they used. That Yohji season was so good. In fact, if anyone has some Yohji pants from SS12 they're looking to sell in size 2 feel free to message me (except the hakamas; those are too big).

You may also want to look at Comme des Garçons if you want an interesting poly or cotton fabric. And then a bunch of those brands like Lost & Found might work for you too. You could probably just go through the brand list at H Lorenzo and see what you find.
