I might try to do the whole minimalist wardrobe thing again.

Are there any SF users known for this?

I'm not known for it, but I've been wearing the same outfit, changing out the boots/shoes and alternating between jeans and wool pants, for the past two weeks. I threw out all my t-shirts and button-ups and just wear two styles of a single brand. Feels good

I do, but I'm slowly paring down with an eye to do more - 20 items went to donation and 20 items went to auctions last week alone, felt very freeing. I know that I could cut down even further, going to see if I can keep the ball rolling in that direction.

The upper looks like an unholy combination of current-season Giuseppe Zanotti and Lanvin on a Y-3 wannabe sole.

The same brand also ripped off a bunch of rick boots including the plinths.

They're all ugly on top of being blatantly derivative.

I need a recommendation for an OCBD similar to Gitman Vintage, with the only difference that it fits slimmer. Some of my medium Gitmans fit great in the shoulders and sleeves, but are enormous in the body.

    New England Shirt Co.?
    Gant Rugger?

Didn't Cinzia Araia do the footwear for Rick before launching her brand? Or am I making that up?

To give a more informative answer, the only companies I know who can do this are brands with a a lot of money and/or those with a lot of pull (Ralph Lauren and specifically RRL), and those who are very selective about their stockists (Dries van Noten, Visvim) the latter of whom usually don't allow onlne sales, or have very strict rules about them. Most brands just can't afford to do this.

I wonder how much of that discount game is offset by rapidly rising prices in fashion. Typical markup for a retailer is 2.3x wholesale, which is a nicer chunk of money when you're talking about $1,000 jackets versus $500. And nowadays, I feel like you see a lot more $1,000 jackets around than you did five years ago.

Also feels like, while everyone marks down now (even small boutiques), the discounts aren't as deep. In 2009, with the financial crisis, you had stores slashing prices by 75% or more. And then there was the booming secondary market, such as clearance houses and StyleForum's B&S. That secondary market has mostly dried up now (who's bought anything from Gilt lately?) and while you still see 75% off sales, they're not nearly as good. Mr. Porter, for example, hardly has anything left these days after the first round of markdowns. So while getting something 25% off at the beginning of the season is common, it's harder to really find things at 80% off at the end of the season.

Little known fact-- Rick Owens doesn't wear his own shoes in public and instead alternates between Cinzia Araia and Savio Barbato

the NESC shirts made for Unionmadegoods might fit the bill, but they're getting pricier all the time... The company make shirts for a variety of retailers (J Press, Sid Mashburn...) but the measurements can vary a lot. I love the ones I have, but now I've decided to go the custom route (trying out Proper Cloth) to save a bit of cash
