Grinding at home is waaay too obnoxious, I just buy 100-200g of beans and have them grind them on the spot and vacuum seal 'em, gone in less than a week anyways.

I used to use a French press, I like earthy oily coffee, but my wife hates it so we switched to a Chemex and I gotta admit I like it better - easier clean-up too, hated scrubbing out the press.

I use an aeropress most of the time but sometimes I use my french press if I'm brewing for more than one.

^ +1. Took food science course(s) in the past. Ground beans zipped and frozen should not have noticeable difference in taste and scent

Also tried siphon coffee. Way too geeky and wouldn't bother.

Why do people use the word "stocklist" to refer to a store that carries a particular brand or item?

As in, "Yo bro, what stocklists carry that expedition blazer in wax-coated boiled wool?"...

    THE WORD IS "STOCKIST".

    Thanks.

    p.s. get off my lawn.

That feel when you unintentionally dress better than everyone in your company (including the founder), while doing biz cas. Then they mention how your "company swag (branded polos and shirts)" is being ordered. There's also an older dude who comes by every day and asks about my shoes while going on and on about how great (insert random mall level) brand is.

    Try working in tech

It's a wasteland of anime tshirts and fanny packs (with attached anime keychains)

    hand pour 4 life.

    Bummer, but duly noted, thanks.

    Also, hand pour 4 life.

Capresso Infiniti burr grinder is a decent entry-level jobby that gets a pretty even grind and doesn't heat up the beans too much. Mine's still going strong a good 6 years later, and I'm sure I paid less than a bill for it.

Unrelated - how is it that Cut Copy is playing Buffalo, NY but not Philadelphia? :fu:

Id still rather wear an ill fitting company polo
over a suit and tie everyday ... Meeting with contractors and stuff is fine but I hated getting dressed up to go into the office and sit at my desk

yeah i've been super happy with my capresso for the price. lots of grind retention, but a tap on the back after grinding gets most of it out. upgrading my setup from capresso/fp+bialetti to a gaggia classic/Baratza Virtuoso with my tax return :slayer:. At this point, opening up a small coffee shop is my life dream.
