Can't say the name because I'll probably eat there again. Lot more I can write about that one restaurant alone, spent a decade in the industry with a bunch of crazy stories to tell.

no one gives a shit. from my experience most pre med/med students are privileged pricks anyway.

Lol at all the butt-hurt waiters in this thread

How much do you think you should get paid?

A mildly intellectually disabled person could probably manage the job

always be nice to waiters, lest you want balls dipped in your food. but if they're turds, tip them as such.

I phrased it poorly. The lols were over how intensely people were arguing about it. In terms of tipping itself for take out it was about 50/50.

I am not sure what the phrase privileged means anymore. I always thought it meant someone born into money with lots of advantages not someone of lower to middle class who now is doing better/has potential to do better. Or were you assuming all my classmates were the first definition. Genuine question in this. not being snarky.

It seems like as the tipping convo went on, you went from only tipping when the service was good to always tipping, usually 20%, and half the time on takeout. I might be reimagining that.

Anyway, I thought I would share once again what good people Frank Leder is and also Ryan from S Willard. I emailed Ryan about a (rather unique type of) button falling off my Leder shirt and how could I not be excited to find this in the mail?

I determine the tip based on quality of service. An average reasonable experience gets 20%, good to excellent gets more. I think the best I ever tipped was my tattoo guy and the tattoo was about 100 and I tipped 50 or 60 bucks .

I just have no aversion to not tipping if the service is really horrid (like at the dennys).

I don't tip for take out except for if its one guy i know that im friends/friendly with.

Edit: The first post did sort of make it like I was saying that but I think it became clear towards the end of that post when I was like i even tip take out if its complex. Who would tip take out and not every instance of sit down. It does sort of make sense now how angry people got. I always tip dine in unless they really suck and are mean. I rarely tip take out. I also tip other things well.

Wondering if you really eat at Dennys?

Others said they still eat at McDonalds which blows my mind. I half grew up on that poison and can't believe anyone who can afford styleforum clothes would eat there willingly.
