I see that Pitti has gotten to you. This sounds a lot like a stressed up version of the Barbour jackets worn over tight suits.

Oh okay, that's good to know. I wonder if they have some sort of ceiling then, like above that they just declare the full value. Thanks guys much appreciated.

"winter in Europe" is pretty vague. A lightweight Ventile jacket with a hood would be good for most weather, especially if you can fit a couple of layers. SE Asia... you're not going to need anything more than a button down shirt for anything unless you're going in the rainy seasons.

But if you're going to be on the road for months and months, from winter to hot as hell summer, just get some ghetto thrifted sweaters that you can jettison on the way. Nothing worse than travelling heavy in hot countries with shitty roads and PAM boats.

No need to get hostile because you love the store/brand.

It's just deceptive to say an item has been shipped when a label has merely been created. This is one of the most disingenuous things retailers do.

An item bought at a later date from a different store in NYC shipped on the eighth and UPS immediately scanned the package as accepted. It was even delayed but at least I knew what was going on.

    Yes.

Situation resolved. The package was accidentally lost at the back of a UPS store.

    See. I'm not crazy.

washed my lad shirt without realizing it's dry clean only :( the fabric has kind of "shriveled" (it's a knit rayon) so it's slightly bumpy and shrunken ... it says it can be ironed so hopefully having it pressed will give it some semblance of normalcy. otherwise i really enjoyed the week i had it.

(also, dry clean only shirt!? that's just cruel)

yeah I know that feel. I have a cotton-rayon Needles shirt that's dry clean only. I've only ever worn it with a t-shirt underneath which is a bit sad as its really light and flowy. Even so its probably starting to smell a bit considering I've had it 8-9 months and haven't tried washing or dry cleaning it yet [IMG]

    tagging onto this :(

Any tips on unshrinking clothing? My brother accidentally put my knit Schneider pants through the wash and now they fit like bell bottoms :( I soaked them in a conditioner-cold water mix and stretched them, and the length is just about back to where they were before, but they are quite narrow through the leg now.

Post a picture. If its not too bad you can still wear ...it will be a one of a kind shirt.

When I run rayon tees through the washer they come out bumpy, shrunken, and contracted, but they return to normal texture after drying. Is it completely dry yet?

Speaking of meetups, no one has suggested a January date for DC. Maybe I'll pull one from my bottom and see how many people join me
