Acne, Engineered Garments, Dana Lee, Common Projects. I don't know if these fall anywhere within the realm of possibility, but it would be incredible to see SF work out relationships with these brands.

throwing logistics and reason out the window, b!cd would like to buy cheap samples from the following designers:

    1. Poeme Bohemien
    2. Christophe Lemaire
    3. Viridi Anne/ Devoa
    4. Gustavolins
    5. Plokhov
    6. Siki
    7. Buttero
    8. Forme/ L&F/ LeU/ etc
    9. Transit
    10. any other vaguely futurist, minimalist, or slightly dark designer that's accumulated sf hype and/or is carried by the likes of antonioli or h lorenzo.

    PEACE

Lemaire seems to have a bunch of new stockists this season but yeah that would be nice. Siki too.

It's a funny feeling that, I've done it more than once.

As a European I would say no larger european brands, as they are going to be too expensive for us after shipping, tax etc. etc.

Yeah SP is still carrying Ploier, just hasn't gone up for sale yet (or possibly hasn't even shipped to Joseph yet for all I know).

Siki Im and Plokhov would probably be pretty good for sample sales, dunno if pre-orders would really pan out. Would love to see Margaret Howell sample sales too. Attachment pre-orders would probably go over really well I think, as there is a lot of interest here but proxying and American retail prices scare a lot of people off. Zam does his own sample sales through SZ classifieds, but it often seems like he and his team struggle to handle it efficiently and it might be beneficial to run it through SFMarket. Other than that, possibly a Guidi MTO group buy a la Viberg?

i think sample sales are probably the way to go. they're great for people on here for obvious reasons and have few drawbacks for the brands as well since they could unload old stuff and overstock.

pre-sales are different though and would likely get more complicated. if a brand offered their whole line sheet, there's still no guarantee people would be able to get any piece they want. if no store picks up a style but someone on here buys it, the brand will probably just cancel that order anyway since it's not worth the cost of making a one-off. Even if six or seven people on here bought it that would probably still happen. could end up in a lot of cancelations and refunds that are disappointing for us and complicated for you and whoever is running this. i guess a brand could offer a line sheet cut down to what they know they'll be producing, but then people are just going to be able to order what stores are already getting anyway. plus we'll have to pay full retail so as not to undercut the stores and there's no return policy, so it doesn't seem like a great deal. if anyone has an idea for getting around these issues throw it out there

edit: this is assuming we're talking about a fairly small brand, by the way, since I think that's who would be willing to participate. i don't see a big established brand playing along.
