I love when the corner posts close-up shots of their clothing's fabric, but because the shots are so poorly lit, all we see is a dark void where the details should be.

A lot of different stores run on the Yoox platform. Though I'm not sure how much Yoox is really involved beyond contributing the technology. It would be interesting to know if Yoox is also warehousing the stock and keeping track of inventory and all that.

There was a good New Yorker article on how Yoox came about and the extent of their current operations.

    they also do that
i've ordered from a lot of yoox-group stores (stone island, jil sander, diesel etc) and everything was shipped out from the yoox-group warehouse in bentivoglio, italy
returns also go to that place.
the inventory is sometimes shared by different yoox-group stores, e.g. if a product is sold out on ji- sander online store it is also sold out on thecorner.com

My guess and I could be completely wrong is that these designers don't really care to have an web shop so instead of having a whole part of their company dedicated to that web shop they just have a group like yoox run it, they create a stock for that shop. That's why sometimes you see designers on their own site they just redirect you to certain e shops.

They sometimes have overlap, but the stuff on the Corner is always on commission and the stuff on yoox is almost always owned by yoox.

    Yoox also owns Ruby Tuesday

Which is fine for the most part, but it's a little inconvenient when I order the tiramisu and have to wait while they ship it from the Italian warehouse

I realize that you are just making the standard B!CD joke, but Yoox does not, in fact, own Ruby Tuesday.

Thank you, yes, and 100% annoying. I feel like everyone else there was really into it though? Seems unbearable to me.

I've heard nothing but good things about this place, though it is admittedly geared towards people interested in the medical field... I'm curious what exactly turned you off? Feel free to PM if you don't want to discuss in public, thanks!

for me, damir is way more consistent than lots of members here claim. like, he isn't doing an exact facsimile of the dark drapery of fw10 each season, but at the same time there are clear visual signatures that carry over

you still see the volume, the minimal/reductive shapes, the cleanish lines

    and, of course, the teashades
