Well I wasn't a fan of the gothic R logo, but the skulls, crests, emblems etc... i was a big fan of, even if most of the stuff I got didn't have em. I have a few PRL regular and big pony polos, It's just a classic/sporty look and fit to it that I enjoy when going out in the summer. Although, I think it was pretty much made for me in terms of style/fit, and doesn't work for everyone. NYC/Boston/Georgetown should still be open. The rest i'm not sure, but most are closing fast. Also, the demise of Rugby, from what I understand, had little to do with the numbers, and more to do with consolidating product lines.

I loved the skull and crossbones logo, same for a lot of the crests. I just hated how stupid-big they insisted on making them. Or when they'd plaster RUGBY in big letters over half of a garment. Absolutely ruined those fleece varsities for me.

And I don't know if we're talking about the same PRL polos. I have nothing against a regular polo-polo (lawl), it's not my style; but it's a classic look. I'm talking about those BIG HORSE (like half your chest) polos with numbers and random tacky branding and stripes all over. See those all the time at NYC clubs etc on the most annoying of people. Maybe I'm just jaded.

Good to know on the stores, thanks.

Yeah, I will add in my dislike for the excessive branding.

I will toss in that I have never seen a white person with big pony before until yesterday.

Totally agree with others on how some of the huge patches or lettering basically ruined some of the Rugby pieces. I definitely prefer some of the more understated and simpler stuff, though I do enjoy some of the color combos Rugby has put together.

Just put in a last order for some basics, nothing else left strikes my fancy. Might try to see if the PRL outlet near me has any Rugby items in clearance. Feels like I'm stocking up on museum vintage pieces ... hah

Just so you know, he told me a few days ago (he's out of town right now), that he picked up a bunch of Sport Coats, made by Caruso - No sizes listed.

As well as a bunch of slippers.

Anyway.. first dibs on 36/38R and 9-10D, and anything in XS.

    :)

I saw some Rugby blazers at my local Marshalls, but they were for around $180 , and not my size.

anyone think there will be a drop in price on the Rugby site before they close?

If anyone got this New Zealand longsleeve rugby in a medium and wants to let it go for a fair price let me know. I slept on it hoping it'd drop further.

Yep. Website looks pretty empty. Rugby always had small inventory.

Its still on the website for 59-20% off, might as well just get it from there.

On another note, some items that show up with certain sizes are actually sold out, I was told the patchwork cardigan was sold out after I purchased it :(

Looks like they cancelled the Vintage University Chinos and Rugby Chino Cap from my order, probably mistakenly left on the site at the time. No biggie, not going to miss those.
