The navy grain Conistons used to be a stock model. I was actually kind of lukewarm on them and got them when they went on sale at Barney's. I've grown quite fond of them.

Just got the Cardigan 4 in roughout suede for the winter. Can anyone please advise how to take care of this type of leather, nano spray or something else?

Could you post some in the wild pics? I'm considering these and I don't think I quite understand what the material is... I asked this question to the forum, maybe the second time's the charm?

What do they mean by roughout suede? IIRC, roughout leather is "inside out," or using the backside of the a full-grain hide for the exterior of the shoe with the smooth side of the full-grain leather inside the shoe. If C&J's is a roughout suede, it implies that the backside of the hide is still exposed, but the full-grain hide has been split and the soft suede nap is inside the shoe. Or is it just a split in the normal configuration, but the nap is roughed up a bit to give the appearance of wear?

To your question - I've read Saphir Invulner is pretty good on roughout. I use it with confidence on other suede shoes I have.

Regarding the roughout suede., honestly I don't think you need to do anything. It's a pretty indestructible material and seems to benefit from hard wear at least lookswise..

Can anyone comment on the 363 last fit? In respect to instep, brannock, and other lasts? Thinking about pulling the trigger on a couple handgrade which happen to be on 363. Thanks in advance and i hope everyone has a good weekend!
