    Hi,

    I bought a pair of the Islays and the detailing on the vamp seems off in bright sunlight. Any idea what I can do to correct it (other than return it of course).

    @IGotId

    Barneys: I think the 335 last.
    Marlow: I think the 325 last.
    Islay: For sure 365 last.
    Coniston: For sure 325 last.

    For those who don't peruse the C&J MTO thread, I am working on a GMTO Whiskey Cordovan Marlow PTB. Price shipped to the US is $712. Ralph Lauren sells the dark brown version of the shoe for $995. I have 11 who have signed up and need one more to confirm the order.

    Too bad it's not a whisky wingtip. Good luck w/ your GMTO!

    That's funny, I just checked out the website earlier & before reading this post...I'm very intrigued by the blue grain Marlow I saw!

    Never purchased one personally but there is something similar in the shop. Personally I find them to be very versatile, especially for someone that dresses more casually in terms of suiting, so think tweed and flannel or anything with more texture instead of worsted. They look great with jeans as well.

    Generally it's a full size down so I'd say 7.5 UK. That said there are exceptions depending on how a particular last matches your feet. Given that the 365 is a fuller last I'd go a full size down as a half size down might still be too large.

    I'm so confused. C&J is telling me to go a half size down from Barneys marked US size....

    My initial plan was to drop a full size.

    Depends on the shoe. Pretty easy to return to Barneys though so I'd just order two sizes. Edit just read above. I would go one size down pretty sure their Islay is normal width

    Pembroke in green grain.

    A coniston in green would be nice.

    Barneys did a coniston in blue grain as well

    As @stevent mentioned, returns should be easy for Barney's so it wouldn't hurt to order multiple sizes and only keeping the one that fits.
