The problem is that the cobbler applied too much pressure and I fear it has torn the leather. If the hole is too big now I'm not sure a speed hook can be placed properly.

Thanks! Yes my plan is to send the boots to C&J even if I have to pay for shipping them both ways.

Actually I work for a company based in London... but I go there just once or twice a year. :)

My new Millbanks that i bought during the sales, on the ugly office workfloor. Still need to break them in though.

Edit: should give them a brush too :)

Alright gang, I'm excited to be pulling the trigger on a pair of Brecon's next month and was hoping that some members had some recent photo's of theirs that have a few miles on them!

Here is a photo of my current favourite shoes - standard F width C&J Bradford in dark brown burnish calf on a Dainite sole. The 341 Last must be a perfect match for my foot, as they feel perfect on.

I picked these up at the factory shop in Northampton. Apparently, they are a rare configuration and they aren't listed in the current catalogue! Any idea why they would have been in the factory shop? Part of a random limited run?

Trust me to find my ideal shoe that can only be replaced as a custom MTO!

Picked up this pair of Ealing boots in the factory shop recently. Wanted something a bit different to the norml colour of suede boots and they had these in stock.

However I can't seem to find any mention of Ealing boots on the C&J website, has anyone heard of them before? Similarly I bought some Budapest 3's back before Christmas and again there seems to be no info on them. Has anyone heard of them?

This is a great sale. And, there is an extra 10% off through the 17th.

C&J fans - humbly hoping to borrow your expertise on these Polo RL bench made in England bluchers.

I rolled the dice on these and they're a hair snug in the toe-box so I may need to move them. I want to be able to list who made them - A. Sargent, C&J, whoever - but haven't been able to decisively narrow down the maker. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

My best guess is that C&J did not make them (no visible nail pattern on heel; stitching pattern on uppers is different from other C&J bluchers like, say, the Marlow; rear heel construction of uppers does not look like C&J), but the stamp at the bottom of the shoe looks consistent with markings on other C&J shoes for RL. And, while most C&J for RL have handwritten interior markings, I've seen some that do not. I'm a little stumped.

    Hey guys,

Is $395 shipped a good price for NIB Conistons? Looking for a point of comparison with other Coniston sales.
