Add in shipping (they charge 30 EUR for fedex) and shoe trees (30 EUR) and you get to 480 EUR. As far as I know, they don't remove VAT. You may get hit with customs fees and a broker fee by FedEx but there's no way to know about that until it happens.

well, i quoted € 480 for the package within the daily conversion. thank you for giving the details.

prize for export is netto, so the VAT is removed already. you'll get a simplified quote. right? don't nail me. It's vass business and conditions may vary from country to country.

no need for panic. this is not the vass thread, though. and on a random note: I feel better, definitely.

KiK, Fritz, thanks. I didn't order from them yet; just noticed that the prices they quoted me were "inclusive of Hungarian sales tax at 27%" for EU sales. But I'd feel pretty robbed if they tried to charge me for a tax for which i wasn't liable. Sure, there's an import duty for me to pick up on delivery, but that's only 5%, and if they mark the goods as "not for resale", I might get away with that too! Anyway, if I order from them, I'll let you know.

Sorry for the Vass diversion. Now I want to get some "paprika"!
