The thin is well fitting skinny/stacked jeans fit your lower body better than looser jeans do.

As long as you're naturally skinny, then makes your lower half seem slimmer and your upper half more built (like a triangle almost). If you emphasize correctly then you make yourself appear lean but still athletic.

Of course there are people who have beer guts and wear tight jeans and that is NOT a good look. The best thing a guy has is his physique and well fitting clothes only show off how good in shape you are (or mask your flaws and make you appear in better shape than you may be).

    Remember, skinny =/= tight.

I really like this explanation. Can't tell if it's 100% correct, but sounds about right to me. Thanks [IMG].

Thanks. Actually those are 12; I find that boots run large in sizes. They're a little snug, but it's not unbearable. They are very nice boots; got them for cheap too on ebay.

Ha, I've recently purchased the exact same boot in the exact same size. I'm unfortunately having trouble finding browns in my wardrobe to match- and I'm still searching for an approrpriate belt ;(

Anywho, here's a picture showing off some various thrifts, although I'll have to see what to do with this cool leather jacket which fits on the shoulder and chest perfectly but has sleeves that are 1.5'' too short. There's excess leather but obviously this wouldn't be a normal jacket-style alteration, so I'll have to see if I can get the sleeves taken out and see if the faux-cuff the stitching makes is acceptable. It was an irressistable find at 20$.

Uh, no shoes. Let's say the black alden cordovan boots I'm ordering soon are in this picture in spirit.

Fear not, 5ep isn't that relaxed; I was wearing it really slouchy to play with the proportions of the leather jacket; and just found shelter from the incredible rain here in New York so the stacking, and everything is affected by being soaked from the knee down.

I threw on the EG jacket when I was taking pics just to see how it looked. I think the look is better w/o the jacket, personally.

I really gotta ask, when you sit down don't your jeans ride up and show lots of sock? I think hemming your jeans the way you do works in that you pair your denim with kickass shirts and sportcoats, not to mention nice shoes, but isn't it a problem when you sit down and your jeans ride up to reveal sock?

Well, those are boots, so they wouldn't show sock, but with regular shoes they do a little bit, but I don't really find it weird or an issue, especially with dress shoes. I wear either boat shoes/loafers/slip-ons without socks, or dress shoes with socks, not so much sneakers or anything with white socks so I don't find it distracting.

Poly I agree about the jacket, I have a hard time wearing jackets with BoO because the collar is so soft it doesn't sit right.

It would be better to get jackets that are 1" shorter and have 3/4" less on each shoulder.

New SA suit I picked up. I need to hem (and maybe taper?) these pants a bit. Tie was a bit askew for the pic too, sorry.

3/4" less width on each shoulder? It wouldn't fit... The shoulders on this jacket are essentially as close fitting as I could possibly wear. I usually like shorter jackets but I don't mind the length of this one, lately I've been finding that slightly longer jackets are elongating.
