I've been on the lookout for a wool harringtonish-style jacket

there are wool harringtons out there. I have a generic one from Warrior in black melton wool....Baracuta had a few tweed ones just recently (tho pricey at around $400) and Ben Sherman actually had a really nice grey wool one this past f/w for $179

Not sure how this one will go....
Valentine's, went out with the girlfriend and spent the day touring the mountains.

yea those look cool...did you get them at Printemps? I saw some badass Wranglers when I was there end of Dec. (there was a pair of buckleback slim straight legs w/selvedge denim that I'm kinda regretting not picking up now)

Ga-vroche, looks great. That Bill Tornade jacket fits perfectly. First time I actually saw something from him in this forum. The Wranglers look inspiring. I've actually been curious about it for a couple of seasons now and I'm definitely looking at the collection for next winter. Keep posting!

That short leather jacket is a piece I need to look into, that looks great. Don't know if I'm slim enough to make it work anywhere near as well though.
