Methinks Tommen had a meeting with the hand of the king after that.

This is a pun worthy of the works of Chaucer.

Two very soap opera-like episodes in a row. :plain:

Maybe we can pretend this episode never existed? Although interesting to see GoT double down on the **** scenes (at Craster's Crib) after the brouhaha of last week. I know of course that these episodes are filmed way in advance but the timing makes for a nice middle finger extended to one's critics

The big problem with this episode was that they're expounding on a bunch of stuff that didn't need expounding, and without an obvious point. Do we need to know that the mutineers are extra rapey douchebags, much less get an extended ****-a-thon? What purpose is being served by the White Walker altar + baby torture Appreciation scene? Wouldn't a "White Walker kills a ranger in badass fashion" be good enough to keep us paying attention to that plot?

pretty much every scene was rearranged or completely fabricated.

most notably, Bran and the rest of people north of the Wall. Samwell doesn't tell John Snow he has seen Bran. Snow (up until this point in the books) assumes Bran and Rickon are dead. Bran isn't near Craster's Keep. Ghost is never captured. Etc etc etc

The whole Mereen thing was completely glanced over as well. At this point, Dany finds out the true identity of Selmy. Selmy also notifies her that Jorah is sending info about her to Westeros, hence why Tywin et al know she has dragons. She pissed at both of them and actually send them into Mereen hoping they would die.

The series literally opened with a whitewalker killing someone, yawn. **** scenes and baby torture, now that generates discussion on social media.

After the shock level of the Red Wedding, this show known for its gratuitous everything needs to keep being gratuitous. Nobody cares about a random ranger getting iced, but a baby? Cue the attention.

Have the Walker stab the baby through the heart then fight somebody. I don't know. The books keep the whole Walker menace simmering very low, not sure it needs to be amped up.

This wasn't so much disturbing as it was distracting. The show desensitized me I guess

I'm surprised that Cersei/Jaime "****" scene generated the controversy it did. **** has been going in this show since Drogo doggied Dany. I mean, come on, people. Have we been watching the same show?

It wasn't the **** itself. It was the fact that they changed what was a consensual act in the book to a ****. Total character assassination of Jaime and really no good reason for it. They could aired this week's episode as written with their encounter as just some awkward mourning sex...and it would have played out just fine.

Also...director didn't help matters by saying he didn't think it was ****...
