In the books, the descriptions of the physical descriptions of many of the Unsullied do often sound like those of Varys.

An army of soldiers looking like Varys is suppose to scare people?

The gore in this show is so silly. Nothing about it ever makes any sense anatomically or physically. The cheesy sound effects make what's supposed to be some drama into B-grade horror. It really impoverishes the show a lot, but I'm sure (along with the rape and gratuitous nudity) that the cheap sensationalism draws in the lot of viewers that can't feel a pang of pain without being punched.

The people of westeros have an extremely high tolerance for this kind of thing. Anywhere else people would be freaking out, puking, passing out, and going into cardiac arrest.

In westeros it's like they may as well be looking at a tree or something.

Just expounding on exploding heads and gratuitous gore. Westerosians don't seem to be phased by it the way viewers do.

Well, my roommate from college had parents from there and he referred to himself as a Westerosinian.

The crazy thing is that the Dothraki called Ser Jorah, Jorah the Andal. He was from the North, which means he was likely of the First Men. The First Men preceded the Andals in conquering Westeros. In fact, the Andals never conquered the North. And then there are the Rhyonar who moved into Dorne across the land bridge.

Despite the several hundred years since the Seven Kingdoms, it would be more likely your roommate would still refer to himself regionally. A Riverlander, A Northerner, An Iron Islander, Dornish, etc.

But when people up in Chicago ask him and me where we were from, I said I was Texan and he said he was Westerosinian, and if the conversation went further then he'd say he was a Sand, but then everyone thought he was from Tatooine.

    Best she has EVER looked.

So, Petyr has been in many a whorehouse, but I bet he never got as turned-on as he was when he witnessed Sansa lying and manipulating that council in his favor.

Other than Oberyn getting offed & Jorah getting sent packing, last night was a sharp departure from the book's storyline
