So my cousin grabbed a shirt for me on his way home on Friday night - a white shirt with black and purple check pattern. Apparently, most of the shirts are check patterns in either a purple/black or blue/dark blue pattern. The purple/black was all that was left in size 16 - RLPL tends to do this color combo quite a bit so I've seen this before. I'll give it a try for $29.99.

For what its worth, these are not in the high-end RL shop at Woodbury. They're in a rack in a corner of the main, larger RL store that usually sells all of the short, polos, etc.

That makes a lot more sense. Thanks! A friend of mine called the higher end store to see if they had anything and they said they didn't.

Right - he called me up mildly annoyed from that store because they only have accessories. he did say that there were shoes in there - not sure if they were made in england or italy or some other place, but might be worth a call (unless someone already knows what type of footwear they stock in that shop).

So this was in the big Polo store that sells Polo outlet craps?

I thought they had luxury apparel store in Woodbury.

If you ever been to the luxury RL apparel store in Woodbury, do you know what they have now? Thanks in advance

I heard their quantities were very limited in the RL upscale store. They had moved to a new location and had to limit how much they could put out so now there isn't much.

Yes, someone had posted previously posted that the shirts were in the luxury shop, so I directed him there. When he got there, he was told the store only carries accessories. He did say that he saw shoes and ties, but no shirts of any kind. So he took a walk over to the bigger, main-line RL store and found them in there - tucked off in a corner somewhere so as not to get in the way of all the regular polo stuff :embar:

I hear ya, brother. I don't think C&J is ever cheaper than when Barney's puts them on sale.

On that note, if anybody picked up a 7.5UK/8.5US that isn't working for them, please PM me!

FYI, I found the sizing really odd on the Barney's Tetburys. I'm a UK9E in that last so I had ordered a US10D and then a couple of days later a US9.5D but returned them both. The US9.5 was longer than all my other UK9 348 last shoes, but was definitely more narrow as well. I'm not sure what the conversion was but it was strange, certainly not US=UK+1. I have 3 other pairs of 348 last shoes that are a great fit in UK9E, so I was pretty disappointed I couldn't find a fit in the Barney's Tetburys.

^^^^must just be something to do with foot shape, but I find that both the Tetbury and the Burnham 2 from Barneys (both bought at final sale prices!) fit me really well, despite my wideish foot. Have to say between the Barneys/warehouse, Mr Porter and J Crew (in good company) sales I've gotten some stellar bargains recently.

Forgot to add East Dane and Herring Shoes sales, the past couple of months have been great.

Do you have any other 348 last shoes to compare them to? US or UK sized? I'm just curious since the sizing seemed so odd compared to my UK sized 348 shoes. I'm still bummed neither the US10 nor US9.5 worked out for me as Tetburys have been on my want list for a while.

Yeah, I cleaned up on the Inis Meain sweaters from East Dane!

C&J increased their prices and then only had a 30% off sale.....shoes were $500 on sale :censored:

No, those are the only 348s I own, the rest of my C&J were made for RL, and I don't think he uses that last.

I didn't get any Inis Meain, but I bought a bunch of the Scott & Charters cashmere.

Yeah, it's ridiculous. Wasn't Barney's unloading G&Gs for $550 last year? Might have even been $450.
