agree for sure. the C&J boots (and shoes) all crush their like Alden like models, and the fact they are a "rare" color makes them a lot, lot better when they go on sale, which Aldens never do in ravello or cigar

Genuine demand for it too, me thinks. My size sold out rather quickly, so I hoped to find someone selling/flipping here or on ebay. Just you and 1 or 2 others here. Haven't seen 'em surface on ebay. Did RL put a purchase limit on 'em?

I dunno, I bought 2 sizes and just sold the one that didn't fit.

my gut says there just weren't that many of them. I know the Boston store didn't have them at all and they typically carry the full C&J shell selection (inc. boots)

FWIW NM Last Call has an "extra" 40% off from 11 CT to 1400 CT. I didn't see much, but if you're looking for a Hickey Freeman suit they're $300 after discount. Online SA didn't know if they're fused or (half/whole) canvassed.

    Bought one today.

I mentioned this in an earlier post, but I emailed LC about the canvassing issue. After being bounced around a couple of times, I received an email from the LC customer care saying that the ones I had been looking at (the Two-Button Wool Suit, Navy, LCF12_N1MVD and the Two-Button Pleated Wool Suit, Gray LCF12_N1EVP) were both full canvassed.

At the same time, these aren't mainline--they're Hickey Freeman for Nieman Marcus. NM tells HF what specs they want. I'll post results when I get it.

Harrods has a bunch of Cordovan Alden longwings in cigar, #8 and black in a variety of sizes at £285.
Also spotted some suede and calf Indys, some saddle shoes and a pair of #8 tassel loafers; in various, enormous, sizes.

I have to say, that after handling some Carminas last week, I wasn't overly tempted to kop.:hide:

I'm sure there are plenty of Brits who will be though!

Haha sorry, I should have been clearer. I mean 11, 12 and 13.

Does that really work out price-wise for you when you figure in shipping and taxes?
    £285 is roughly $440.
Don't forget that a proxy won't be able to claim the 20% VAT back!

I tried and did not see an additional 25%. Can you post a screenshot that shows how the discount is calculated?

How did you find out about the LC sale? I have their membership or club or whatever it is, and didn't get anything in email. Did you just happen upon it? It seems like they would email their list.

From what I've seen, the short sales don't seem to be advertised through the daily emails.
