    [IMG] Really?
I never had the guts to try this option as 6.5 in 5 fits me perfectly!

I would guess most guys can go half size larger than their "perfect" size and still be totally wearable. Esp if you are in the smaller range where there seems to be more margin of error in terms of being a good fit half size +/- and I'm fine with using a gel insole if it's slightly loose, or in case of boots wear thick socks

but obviously everyone has their own perception of a good fit so YMMV

Two Longwing shoe (not boot) designs:
Tricker's MTO Longwing #2 (basically the Museum Ark longwing but with red calf lining, that always looks great with Trickers)
    Colour, Black grain
    Lining, Red Calf Lining.
Double leather sole ina natural finish and a natural Barbour welt.
    Fitting: 5 (medium) 4497 Last

    Any takers?

    this?

I'd be up for this in a boot.
Basically the Froswicks in black scotch grain with natural sole/welt.

    +1 for Froswick style boots,
I'm up for black scotch grain or maybe suede, I haven't seen Tricker's suede in LW boots.

For those emailed me about the Eaton for September, watch your email in the next 2 days, if there's someone backing out for the August, it'll be up for grab.

Plenty of love for the LWB but I've already got a pair of BBBF black scotch grain Alden LWBs.

Right! I have been hoping that they add a size 11.5 but alas, nothing yet.

Try getting a salesperson to track down a pair. The online inventory is different from the store inventory or so I've been told.

Mixing waxes or alternating waxes during polishing is fine, the shoes get subtle highlights when they age. Corthay made some wax mixes for me to go with my custom patinas, other patina specialists can do the same.

BTW is there a Trickers resurgence, for once SW&D is late to the party as MC has been into these for a while. I check retricker from time to time and never found anything in my size.

I would say yes as to the resurgence.

I paid 125 and 133 GBP a pair (buying two pairs of trickers at once), minus VAT, from retricker. I think it came out to about $300 or $350 something with the exchange being favorable for the USD at the time

Now that gets you a single pair of trickers from retricker, let alone getting them new.

I remember trying to hold out for Stowes at 100 gbp (they were sometimes going for 125 gbp or something, usually 150 gbp). Nowadays I would drop that in an instant.
