Yes, but who wants the hassle of going through the small claims court, I certainly don't. Of course Distance Selling Regulations do get abused, it's part and parcel of being a retailer, it is one of the better ideas the EU brought in.

I shall probably never ever get to see the Cashmere Duffle in person. I am sure it is quite special.

That looks a great jacket . It looks a bit like the visvim hudson but better and probably better quality. I've never had a Cabourn Jacket but fancy that one i'd better start saving.

Sorry if this post is confusing i was trying to respond to someone on page 260 regarding new coastal commander jacket but managed to mess it up and posted here like a complete div!

For anyone tempted by the Jersey Mallorys on Flannels, mine arrived today and it's far from white - it's not a dark colour but is much more versatile than flannels picture suggests - a light greenish/beige I suppose: - photo of the sleeve against the box:

Japanese made 'Mainline' rather than 'Authentic'. Great quality, not that light-weight and a tad-slimmer fitting than the tweed versions.

This photo from a Japanese site is pretty accurate:

Apologies for a non NC question but I thought I may get a better response here.

Does anyone own a Trakke Harris tweed bag? I have a Ventile OG which is great for the hills but I'm thinking of getting the Wee Lug for day/work and wondered how the tweed finish holds up after longterm use.

Nice looking jacket, saw it but had second thoughts because of the fabric (jersey knit ?)...Have you handled the denim Mallory and if so how would you compare the two, weight and feel etc..

    Thanks and enjoy

Sorry - I've not handled the denim Mallory. The Jersey reasonably heavy and tightly knitted - definitely not T-shirt weight, and heavier than my ancient cotton Tenzing. Spring and late summer wear appropriate but will probably be too warm for mid-summer.

More stuff available at marrkt. Mainly size 48. Blue CWP for just 450£ is the highlight in IMO

I'd have snapped up the Donegal Business Jacket if it had been a 54 rather than a 52. The ltd ed Ponting in 54 is nice, but I don't wear down enough.

    @migsy999

I was meaning to ask this at the time as you must be one of the few people here with direct experience with the Surgeon jacket - does it fit similarly to the Mallory jackets?

I've been looking at some of the Japanese stockists, but not sure if I should be thinking of sizing down or whatever.

Yeah mate. Was pretty much a similar fit.
Bought a size 1 from japan. Was like a 46 Mallory.
Didn't suit me though so I sold it. Lovely jacket though.

The Grey Bench coat arrived from Marrkt yesterday

Really like it - the finish looks like neoprene - it looks like cotton bonded using some sort of rubberised solution on to Harris Tweed
The labelling suggests it was intended for the non Japanese market so can't understand why these weren't on the market until this sale

It is the size 44 which fits a treat
